I was mentally reviewing our situation in my mind last night, marveling over the fact that we are not (yet) in a state of open rebellion.
Because that’s where we should be.
I suspect hostilities are being suspended to give the upcoming election a chance to avert what is certain to be a disastrous ‘civil war’.
Who knows, maybe the corporate owned media will declare Snoopy the winner and we’ll all scratch our heads wondering how that’s going to work considering Charles Schultz is dead…
Curiously, I am not the only one who believes a fight is inevitable, as the >One Percent continues to lay the nation to waste decimating the future of ALL who call this land home (via their iron grip on our government and by extension, out commerce system.)
We will have no choice but to ‘forcibly evict’ those who claim to ‘own’ this nation and it’s resources if we are to save our children and ourselves from being abandoned as the newest economic backwater on the planet.
How did it come to this, good citizen? How have corporate fatheads been granted free reign to destroy the plant in the reckless and relentless pursuit of ‘fake’ profits?
The myopic assholes honestly believe destroying the planet’s ‘carrying capacity’ will ‘naturally limit’ the size of its human population.
They have ‘no problem with the ‘supposition’ that systems fatally damaged today will take ten thousand years to ‘recover’.
What the fatheads don’t realize is the damaged systems will never return to their ‘original state’ just as the ecosystems damaged in the Seventies have yet to return to their ‘original state’.
We’re back to lying liars and their, er, ‘monopoly’ on the public conversation.
What has that ‘monopoly’ been telling us?
That there’s nothing wrong, the systems we bankrupted will correct themselves and everything will be just fine in a ‘couple of years’…all you have to do is sit back and let us work our ‘magic’.
And what is the primary focus of this so-called magic? It is to get YOU to keep ‘sitting on your hands’ while your situation (a.k.a. plight) continues to worsen.
The longer you ‘sit still’ the more they can cart off to their new home across the ocean.
Once again the absence of a military tank idling in your driveway leaves you the false impression that everything is right with the world.
Although I must admit I was taken back a step when the news announced the phalanx of protestors lined up for the opening of the Democratic Convention in NC.
OWS plans on being there, which sort of verifies the general displeasure the public feels over the ‘do nothing’ incumbent running ‘unopposed’.
[Just how much proof do you need that the electoral process has been hijacked?]
You’d be better off going out for an ice cream on election day, if you’re going to ‘waste gas’ you may as well ‘get something out of it.’ beside the ‘illusion of participation’.
How surprised will conservo-whackos be when there’s a revolt over Romney’s election?
How surprised will YOU BE when Romney is crowned and nothing happens?
I’m not the least bit psychic, I’m telling you our oligarchs have already decided and Romney is their boy.
An outcome cemented with the naming of Ryan as his running mate because of what this means for Wall Street.
And you will see widespread social backlash that makes The Terror look like a peace-fest!
Not right away but slowly building as the new administration starts to implement the will of our oligarchs…
They’ll be ‘expecting trouble’ so some of their initial moves will seem, at first, a bit heavy handed.
Which is to predict that the absence of ‘blood in the streets’ today will not be in evidence when cold weather returns.
I’ll not extend my prediction into the holidays because cold weather may well put a damper on revolutionary zeal (and the original outbreaks of ‘unrest’ will be brutally dealt with…although the brutality will only serve to strengthen the resolve of the rebels…leading to even more brutal ‘counterattacks’.)
Sadly, the escalation of hostilities will lead for pleas for peace and we all know what premature peace leads to, subjugation.
Um, wholesale foreclosures, global economic ruin and blatantly obvious electoral rigging…and we’re sitting here yawning by our TV sets?
Maybe I do need my head examined…
