Practical considerations

Greetings good citizen,

It all started out kind of gradual like (back in the 1970‘s)…here a little nick, there a little cut, next thing you know you’re bleeding out.

Some of you ‘young’ uns’ are probably wondering why us old farts seem so fixated on the 70’s and the best response is ‘you had to be there’.

How did this whole shitstorm get rolling? It all started in the late 60’s with the ‘re-appearance’ of the much dreaded ‘market saturation monster’.

With the ‘recovery’ of the bombed out European manufacturing sector, US markets stopped ‘growing’ (causing the stock markets to panic!)

It was the cause of the first ‘Great Depression’ and it is the cause of the current one that they are pretending isn’t happening as well.

Which is to point out that this isn’t the first time (or the second if you’re counting) that we have found ourselves on the jagged edge of economic collapse.

Nor is it the first time we have experienced a ‘global’ economic collapse, that’s happened more than once as well.

Surprised? You shouldn’t be considering the ‘victors’ write the history books. Small wonder that one of the most destructive forces known to man (mercantilism/capitalism) would be, er, ‘withheld’ from the ‘living memory’ of our species.

Unlike tobacco, which only kills a third of its users, capitalism kills all of its worshipers, 100% of the time!

It’s like going bungie jumping with the cord wrapped around your neck…

It ain’t the fall that kills you, its that sudden snap…

How frightening is it that there isn’t a (well known) workable alternative we can switch to?

Communism isn’t the answer, it has already been proven to be just as corrupt as capitalism/mercantilism…and the ‘party politics’ serve the same purpose they do in allegedly ‘free‘ societies, to muzzle dissent.

If we were to couple this, er, ‘coincidental’ collapse of the global economy with the inevitable shortfall of fossil fuels we would indeed see the necessity of abandoning what has gone before.

Worse, the inevitable collapse of the latest ‘incarnation’ of global empire has resulted in this fiasco

This is no accident. This is no error in judgement. This is not philosophy. It is a calculated white collar crime, that has co-opted many elements of society. It hides behind slogans like 'small government' and 'libertarianism' and 'free markets' but its real intent is to subvert the law and corrupt the processes of the economy and society. It is a type of financial coup d'etat.

I was tempted to put the whole passage in bold but that sort of defeats the purpose of ‘highlighting’, doesn’t it.

Jesse’s ‘point’ (indirectly) is that when ‘normal’ markets fail, fake markets take their place.

The point he goes on to make in fact states that once normal markets collapse there is no room left for the honest dealer/consumer, you become either a predator or you become a victim.

Sadly, since nobody has your back, if you’re not connected you’re most likely ‘road kill’.

What’s an ‘honest dealer’ to do?

Run away!

Which brings us full circle to the issue I raised in yesterday’s post, ‘what do we do now that it is (officially) game on?’

My ‘advice’ (for what its worth) is to convert as much of your ‘funny money’ into non-perishable food stuffs as you can…not that most of us actually HAVE any ‘surplus income’. Depending on your circumstances, you will soon be better served buying food than paying for shelter if you are in a position to keep the landlord/bank at arms length for a little while.

Although MY Plan is to ‘forage’ rather than to create a stockpile that needs defending. I can get away with that because I live near the ocean and the marshes contain a lot of wild edibles.

Looks like the southerly portions of the country can take advantage of the ‘wild hog’ situation (I would if they were this far north.)

And if you haven’t already done so, buy/make a ‘silent’ weapon to both hunt as well as defend yourself with. A bow or a crossbow are number one choices followed by wrist rockets and other ’industrial strength’ kinetic energy weapons.

Take the necessary time to learn how to use them. Pulling a bow more than three times in succession is a unique form of exercise that requires getting used to. Practicing will also do wonders for your accuracy!

There are more ‘practical issues’ to discuss and the time to do so is shrinking rapidly.

You need to ‘prepare’. Regardless of what you learn here it is still all up to you once crunch time rolls around.

Which leads us to a more urgent issue.

In the not too distant future it will be necessary to keep your mouth shut as far as criticizing either the government or the media, hell, pretty soon ‘mean mouthing’ the boss will land you ‘under the glass’ as a ‘potential hostile’.

They fucked us all hard and they know it so they won’t be taking any chances once the wheels fly off (and martial law is declared…for YOUR safety, of course!)

DON’T COMPLAIN ABOUT NOTHING if you don’t trust EVERYBODY WHO CAN HEAR YOU with YOUR LIFE!

Did the Boss force you to work an extra hour ‘off the clock’? Put a sock in it!

Worse, when the boss ‘proposed’ that you ‘finish up’ after he saw you punch out, did you quit?

Guess what, you’re going to be ‘blacklisted’ and it will take a whole lot of money to clear your name.

Your only ‘safe bet’ was to ‘walk away’ and take what comes in the following day.

[More ‘advice’] Corner the prick before work and put it on him, your last day of work because of him will be his last day of work because of you!

It is highly unlikely you will get him fired but there are many ways you can fuck him up!

IF he’s bigger than you it is unlikely he’s bigger than your car…even if you drive an eco-box.

NOBODY is tougher than the laws of physics!

Just a little something to think about,

Libertarian Hell

Greetings good citizen,

What do you say after you have announced that doomsday is upon us?

(And make no mistake about it, it is ‘here’! I'll even admit to being ‘late’ in heralding its arrival.)

Worse good citizen the ‘revolution’ is also proceeding apace.

What you need to understand good citizen is that this revolution is your worst nightmare incarnate!

Think the bossman beat you before? You ain’t seen nothing’ yet!

I’d point to the most obvious ‘dilemma’ the survivors of the coming revolt will face but that has already come to pass as our former government dies. Any possible legal remedy will be denied to you.

Welcome to ‘Libertarian Hell’ a place that operates on the premise that YOU have NO rights.

In LH, all right’s spring from ‘ownership’. If you own, you have rights, if you don’t, you’re a ‘parasite’…(putting a rather hefty number of the less fortunate at a decided disadvantage.)

Needless to say, there will be blood. ( My money’s on the ‘cornered animals’ the ones that truly understand what ‘united we stand, divided we fall’ means…the ones who don‘t scoff at the idea ‘they want us dead‘.)

(Preferably they’d work us to death but either way is a ‘win’ as far as these self-centered bastards are concerned.)

Libertarians, like the Ancient Greeks, have absolutely no problem with slavery. I think their inability to conceive of civilization without slaves speaks volumes about their depravity.

Wake up and smell the coffee, these ARE (exactly) the kind of people we are dealing with!

Left unsaid in Mr. Rich’s editorial is the disturbing issue of whether or not THE MEDIA has ‘hijacked’, er, ‘our’ government?

If we follow the, er, ‘chain of command’ we’d see that the elite ‘owns’ commerce and commerce owns the media and the media controls what passes for government.

But sometimes A picture is worth a thousand words

Some may argue that this image is ‘exclusive’ to Republican/Libertarian ‘strategy’ in Wisconsin but I’d argue that the ‘evidence’ says otherwise…

This is why I am calling ‘Game Over’ now, when things are dicey but still functioning.

They won’t be much longer.

It’s all coming to a head good citizen. Even the slowest among you should be able to see it. Bizarrely, conservatives are cheering the ‘death’ of their ‘rights’.

But this brings us back to ‘you don’t know what you’ve got ‘til its gone.’

What follows is a poorly thought out attempt to rearrange the deck chairs on the Titanic, it is far too late to ‘rein in’ a government that has long since escaped our control.

But I post this as a favor to a friend.

Exhibit ‘A’ that you don’t have to be bat shit crazy to be my friend.

The 26th amendment (granting the right to vote for 18 year-olds) took only 3 months & 8 days to be ratified!  Why?  Simple!  The people demanded it.  That was in 1971...before computers, before e-mail, before cell phones, etc.

Of the 27 amendments to the Constitution, seven (7) took 1 year or less to become the law of the land...all because of public pressure.

I'm asking each addressee to forward this email to a minimum of twenty people on their address list; in turn ask each of those to do likewise.

In three days, most people in The United States of America will have the message..  This is one idea that really should be passed around.

Subject: Washington Reform 2011

If each person contacts a minimum of twenty people then it will only take three days for most people (in the U.S.) to receive the message.

         Congressional Reform Act of 2011

         1. Term Limits.

12 years only, one of the possible options below..

            A. Two Six-year Senate terms
            B. Six Two-year House terms
            C. One Six-year Senate term and three Two-Year House terms

         2.  No Tenure / No Pension.

A Congressman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they are out of office.

         3.  Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security.

All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately.  All future funds flow into the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the American people.

         4. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans do.

         5. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise and Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.

         6. Congress loses its current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people.

         7. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people.

         8. All contracts with past and present Congressmen are void effective 1/1/11.  The American people did not make this contract with Congressmen.   Congressmen made all these contracts for themselves.

I’ll add the same ‘observation’ that my friend made, whoever wrote this appears confused by what each ‘branch’ of government has the power to do (or not do.)

Ironically, it is the repeated failure of every effort to make government more ‘accountable’ that forms the foundation of the argument that our government has been hijacked by the oligarchs.

Once more into the breach then?

Thanks for letting me inside your head,

Gegner

What do YOU think?

Greetings good citizen,

I am faced with that conundrum faced by ‘the Boy who cried Wolf’, I’ve been predicting the end of civilization for so long , I fear I have exhausted my credibility.

What would YOU take as solid evidence that our capitalistic society has ‘hit the wall’?

Would the current push to strip public union members of their collective bargaining rights be evidence enough or would you need something more ‘convincing’ like this: Providence To Teachers: You're Fired (?)

Laws differ from State to State and apparently the governor of RI doesn’t need to attract unwanted attention to himself like the governor of Wisconsin has, all the governor of RI has to do is instruct the ‘school board’ to FIRE all of the teachers wholesale!

What hits you in the eye here is the question of who on the union negotiating team was asleep at the switch when the State slipped THAT particular provision into the contract?

I guess some places sort of redefine the concept of ‘employee at will’!

I’d guess at least some RI teachers will be blindsided by this outrageous move to ‘balance the budget’.

Then there are the taxpayers themselves…how are their kids supposed to gain entry college if their elementary education is deemed worthless (the schools lose ‘accreditation’ if the teachers aren’t ‘certified’.)

BUT that’s not the government’s problem…once again, it’s YOURS!

The ‘bad news’ here, good citizen, lies in how this is just the tip of the iceberg.

When our public servants learn that they have been screwed out of their hard won benefits…how long do you think ‘civil order’ will last?

Worse, faced with rapidly escalating inflation (masked by most of it occurring in the two segments that ‘don’t count’ in the measurements; food and energy) How long will civil servants tolerate stagnant paychecks (while totally useless bankers and CEO’s reward themselves handsomely just because they can?)

When you can no longer trust the people in charge, civilization collapses.

It’s fucking inevitable.

So, where does this leave us good citizen?

The, er, ‘evisceration’ of our commercial sector coupled with nonsensical tax cutting made the outcome we’re witnessing a certainty.

There was no other possible outcome.

Which says something mighty disturbing about ‘Reaganomics’.

Worse, the wholesale firing of Rhode Island’s teachers which is an outcome of disturbing Republican economic policy. (A balanced budget regardless of the consequences serves no one‘s best interests!)

If we consider the fact that Republican economic policy will inevitably lead to a Banana Republic then it doesn’t matter that our kids will be unable to attend college. The kind of jobs that will be available to them won’t require a lot of smarts.

The disturbing part of this is how the corporate owned media keeps putting Republican politicians in public office when NOBODY votes for them! That’s disturbing.

Well, almost nobody…the dummies know who they are.

The part that makes this so disturbing is the total unnecessity of it all, none of this need be happening!

It literally IS mismanagement caused by a decidedly warped and twisted ideology.

And yeah MINE IS better!

It’s crunch time good citizen, the only thing that comforts me is some of you don’t need me to tell you what you should all be able to see for yourselves.

I give it six months tops before we witness the collapse of civil order.

Once 911 turns into an exercise in futility, I’ll be vindicated.

Which naturally, sends the total wrong message. Some of you may think I want this to happen…and you wouldn’t be 100% wrong in that assumption.

The old shit won’t go away until it is proven to be worthless.

The question at this point in the game is what, if anything, will come out on the other side?

Most of us are probably wondering ‘who’ will make it to see order restored and what the ‘restoration of order’ will look like?

The old ways will die hard and a lot of the new ways are, er, nonsensical…to put it kindly.

I have provided a workable blueprint for what a sustainable social model should look like…but like many things, change is hard.

How hard depends on the stakes.

I’d be willing to try something new if the alternative was extinction…

Thanks for letting me inside your head,

No Luck...

Greetings good citizen,

It is another day and I have yet to reach a live human at Massachusetts division of employment and training…

The spooky part is, for all of their protestations of being ‘busy’, I have yet to get a busy signal! I get right through every time I dial.

And the moment I ‘confirm’ my SS number I am shunted to the ‘there’s nobody available to take your call right now, please call back later…’

Just did it again and got the same result!

I suppose I should be happy that I’m not dialing 911...although that is a ‘state operated’ phone system too, it’s merely a different part of the same social safety net that the Republicans are trying so hard to ‘starve to death’.

What the stupid bastards don’t realize is they are ‘dismantling’ the only apparatus that protects their false claims of ownership…although one suspects the plan is to replace ‘expensive’ public sector employees with ‘commissioned agents’ very much like the ‘pirates’ of old.

Wonder how much the ‘truly stupid’ will sell the rest of us out for?

Will it be a ‘Boss Hog’ sort of arrangement where they get 10 percent of five percent of the ‘net’ after expenses?

And all they have to do to get that is 100% of the dying along with 99% of the heavy lifting…

Wonder how ‘eager’ our present day ‘swashbucklers’ will be when they find out about the disturbing new trend in employment practices

How much ‘bloodletting’ will the cut throats tolerate after their masters continue to ‘bottom fish’ with their means of supporting themselves?

Tonight’s offering is a disturbing development in the future ‘shape’ our civilization is taking. How will a ‘temp’ secure a mortgage? Short answer, they won’t.

Which makes your house worth? You got it, zilch.

So much for that ‘storehouse of value’ nonsense. As it stands right now, most people will never recover what they paid for the properties that they, er, ‘rent from the bank’.

Mortgages people pay tens of thousands of dollars in interest on, annually.

Making the real ‘sweet deal’ here the money lending business.

Stick ‘em the fuck up…sucker!

Sadly, they think much less of you than that, I’m being kind calling them ‘suckers’.

I’ve avoided the ‘All Money is Funny’ meme for a while as well as the other ‘cornerstone’ of A Simple Plan, the ‘multitude of issues’ that aren’t the elites problem, they’re YOURS!

Cant find a job? Tough! Maybe YOU’RE not looking hard enough, or you want too much money…(or you’re ugly and your mother dresses you funny. While they don’t say this last comment, you just know they are thinking it!)

You get the drift, it’s not their ‘mis-management’ that is the problem, it is YOUR lack of ‘dilligence/persistence’ that has landed you in this, er, ‘unfortunate set of circumstances’.

Sure they shipped millions of jobs overseas but you wouldn’t believe the prices you’d be paying if they hadn’t! (Which is a lie, the ‘value’ of a nation’s currency is directly proportional to the amount of wealth that nation produces. So shipping jobs overseas actually serves to ‘devalue’ your currency, flushing your ‘purchasing power‘ down the toilet with it!) Too bad our idiot politicians are too feeble to grasp that concept!

Like I’ve said a million times, stupid is as stupid does.

What nobody here in ‘the wounded land’ is prepared for is the pending ‘switch’ that will remove ‘reserve currency status’ from the US dollar.

The ONLY reason our money us worth anything at all right now is because we hold the world’s ‘reserve currency’.

‘Rejecting’ the value of US currency is to repudiate the value of their own!

This is an extremely perilous position to be in, despite the fact that ALL money is ‘funny’.

Moving on, most of you are aware that oil is once again past the $100 a barrel mark.

I belabor the obvious when I remind you that our civilization is based on cheap, abundant AND ‘portable’ energy. Once it stops being any one of these things our entire civilization collapses!

But you knew that.

I don’t think I need to point out just how disastrous a sudden shift to ‘every man for himself’ would be, do I?

What do you suppose making everybody ‘temps’ is an attempt to do?

Add that to the ‘strategy’ of stripping collective bargaining rights from unionized workers and you have two examples of the advent of ‘YOYO’ society.

Did I mention ‘hell in a bucket’ (due to mismanagement)?

I didn’t think so but I also didn’t think that would be necessary either…

Anyway, thanks for letting me inside your head,

Gegner

Muzzle 'em!

Greetings good citizen,

As you know I will sometimes post on real life, boots on the ground situations as they apply to, er, ‘official rhetoric’, in this case that rhetoric being the greatly exaggerated ‘economic recovery’.

My most recent employer passed away last Thursday, taking my job with him.

Naturally, I am eligible to collect unemployment benefits.

Here it is, almost a week later and I have yet to reach a human at the division of employment and training (what they call ’unemployment’ around here…)

More disturbing is how they ask me to enter my SS number BEFORE transferring my call. You know, that number that will NEVER be used to ‘identify’ you with…

At the moment the State in which I reside is enjoying an unemployment rate that is slightly lower than the national average…

Yet every time I confirm my SS number I am ’automatically’ shunted to the ’call back later’ message!

Which begs the question…has the State been ‘budget cutting’ and my, er, ‘difficulties’ in reaching a claim representative the end result? Or am I witnessing a ‘coincidental’ surge in lay-offs which would account for the current ‘logjam’.

Or are the claims representatives ‘tied up’ with people applying for extended benefits?

Regardless of the answer, none of this is, er, ‘encouraging’.

(I just tried again, no dice.)

I don’t recall being asked to ‘identify’ myself first in the past so this must be a new wrinkle, leading us to wonder what purpose it serves?

As you may suspect, the damn process is ‘bullet-proof’ too, there isn’t a way to reach a human.

But the denial of service has always been the ultimate ‘goal’ of automating one’s communication system.

If you can’t reach anyone your complaint remains unheard.

And when you take the next logical step, the perp goes nuts denying your inability to communicate with them!
But that’s another disturbing hallmark of these ‘times’.

Spending to ‘stonewall’ the delivery of ‘undesirable’ information has become ‘fashionable’ in our ‘who me?’ style of management.

Like almost everything else in the current ‘hooray for me and fuck you capitalism’ this is not the perp’s problem but yours.

Are you beginning to notice how everything is suddenly becoming YOUR problem?

Do you buy the ‘pat’ answer for this phenomenon, that it is due to ‘incompetence’?

Because it’s not…this is ‘what the fuck YOU gonna do about it, chump?’ Right in your face!

This is ‘if you don’t like it sue me’ (knowing all the while that your pockets aren’t deep enough to take them on in court.)

In case you haven’t noticed, the courts no longer have anything to do with meting out justice, it’s all about who has more money and better connections. Justice be damned…

Or worse, Justice for the highest bidder!

Why do you think (most) judges are ‘appointed’?

Perhaps more telling is the number of judges that retain the services of a bodyguard…

Just in case you didn’t get the memo about just how badly broken this nation has become.

Hell, the revelations coming out about the current (bought and paid for) Supreme Court is enough to give you nightmares!

Worse is how these stories are being reported in their own bought and paid for media. The could easily ‘suppress’ these stories if they wanted to but they aren’t. Which raises the question of what the hell are they trying to do, start a revolt?

Well, are they?

What do YOU think the answer is?

Has the ’never gets it right’ media accidentally stumbled on information that WILL transform our government in ways we currently can’t conceive of?

OR are we being manipulated yet again into supporting changes that go against our best interests?

You KNOW the bought and paid for ’corporate media’ is famous for precisely this sort of thing.

Why tell us NOW that our (currently Democratic, if in name only) ’government’ is rotten to the core when they have chosen to ignore this fact during the eight year reign of the worst president ever?

But, naturally, THEY think WE are STUPID!

A point they will continue to re-enforce until WE rip the microphone out of their lying hands (by destroying their stranglehold on the world’s media outlets!)

If ALL they do is lie, we would be no worse the wear to ‘muzzle’ them. The road to sustainability is paved with truth.

How else does 20% of the population masquerade as half of the national will?

Only through media lies.

Worse is the charade that we are ‘divided’ over the cause of the ‘desertification’ of our nation. We all KNOW ‘globalization’ is responsible (and we also know only a tiny minority benefits from this) so the ‘divide’ isn’t nearly the ‘perfect split’ the media pretends it is.

STEP ONE IN TURNING THIS TRAINWRECK AROUND IS PUTTING A STOP TO THE ‘DIS-INFORMATION!’

Step two is the restoration of Justice; which will lead to the restoration of ‘relative’ prosperity.

But first things first, first we must muzzle the liars!

Thanks for letting me inside your head,

Click, click, BOOM!

Greetings good citizen,

As our civilization makes its final sprint for the edge of the cliff, more and more commentators are jumping on the ‘end of the line’ bandwagon.

Conspicuous by their absence are the End Timers (although I readily admit to not ‘monitoring’ the religious right…probably due to my being an atheist.)

This is probably because none of the ‘predictions’ in the Bible that herald ’the end of days’ has come to pass…well, depends on how much you want to ‘stretch’ things.

Back in the early seventies there was quite a disturbance caused by the dire consequences of what was then termed as ‘the population explosion’.

Bizarrely, like civil defense, all of that was discredited and dismissed as a ‘fad’, a platform for crazy people seeking attention. The reality here was that Malthaus has finally been ‘vindicated’ and that by 2050 our planet could be 'unrecognizable'.

Which is NOT to imply that we can endure 40 more years of this bullshit. We will be extremely lucky if we can hold it together for 40 more WEEKS!

Worse, forty more DAYS may bring once unthinkable changes.

It’s always been a numbers game good citizen so the gross mismanagement of our civilization sure isn’t helping matters.

Worse, an unequal, greed based economic system will push what passes for ‘civilization’ over the edge…in fact, it is already too late.

The ‘looting’ we have witnessed as the criminals have attempted to ‘save’ the financial sector (for themselves) is all of the evidence we need that our civilization has crashed and is currently burning to a crisp.

This, er, ‘theft’ is totally useless but they do it anyway…if only to prevent anyone else from grabbing/taking advantage of the situation.

Which is to pint out that they who have more than they know what to do with do not view what they’re doing as ‘theft’, it is denying resources to the ‘enemy’.

Do you know ‘who’, precisely that ‘enemy’ is?

If you have a mirror handy you can see this enemy for yourself…

THIS is what happens when society…‘forgets’ the purpose of commerce.

Commerce exists to enrich society, not to enrich the ‘owners of commerce’, who are in fact, all of us! (This is why you need to secure ‘permission’ to open and operate a business in any developed country!) It is this fact that makes the, er, ‘legal owners’ of commerce guilty of treason (and that’s only the beginning of the charges against them!)

How lucky is it for them that it is looking highly unlikely they will ever be prosecuted?

Although I’m willing to bet that more than just the ‘hindmost’ will be on the receiving end of some, er, ‘righteous retribution’.

As I predicted a few posts ago, capitalists have already insured that they will be hunted globally like Nazis.

More than a few of them will end up with a price on their heads…

Which is to point out that most of these criminals will never see a courtroom nor will a jury ever hear the case against them…most of them will be ‘strung up’ right where they are ultimately captured.

Which should serve as a warning that even the appearance of wealth will be enough to damn you once civilization comes ‘undone’.

So be extremely careful of what you ‘commandeer’.

Most of the ‘very wealthy’ will escape to sea and, being who they are, will immediately start ‘preying’ upon one another.

They can’t help it, it is how they are ‘wired’.

How ironic is it that these self-styled predators are incapable of either of humanities greatest skills, ‘cooperation and teamwork’?

Don’t it always seem to go that you don’t know what you’ve got ‘til it’s gone?

While this realization is vaguely ‘comforting’ it is also a disturbing indictment of the laxness permitted in our decision making process.

These people really should have been prevented from seizing power.

Unfortunately, this will require a much higher level of honesty than we are currently capable of.
It can be done, it just won’t be ‘easy’.

What you see collapsing all around you was ‘easy’…probably too easy.

Rebuilding will be difficult, partly because old habits die hard.

We need to be vigilant when we engineer the building blocks of our new, sustainable society. We MUST ignore those who would put their own interests/desires ahead of the common good.

Truth be told good citizen, we MUST criminalize the act of putting your own interests ahead of the interests of society, what is and always has been ‘treason’.

Which is to point out that what’s ‘wrong’ with our civilization has always been ‘illegal’, it is the law (more succinctly, those elected to uphold the law) who have failed.

Thanks for letting me inside your head,

Tick...tick...tick...tick...

Greetings good citizen,

As the title implies, the main thrust of tonight’s post is to remind you that time is running out.

While in itself this editorial is not ‘proof’ of any conclusive developments, this article does flag that the, er, ‘situation’ is deteriorating.

In fact, if there were a ‘theme’ to be gleaned from today’s browsing, deterioration would be the most apt descriptor.

The stock markets continue to climb for no rational reason…and it is starting to make the Bulls worry, which should tell us something.

Like we are either measuring the wrong things or we are putting so many ‘qualifiers’ into the data as to render it useless…how sad is it that both statements are true?

Then there’s the ‘showdown’ unfolding in Wisconsin. Has the GOP finally gone off the deep end or (as many of us have speculated) that it will soon no longer matter which ‘party’ you, er, ‘support’.

There will soon only be one party and they won’t bother asking you how you ‘feel’ about how they handle things. (Not that this will be a ‘big change’ from the way things are currently done.)

How ironic is it that the sudden outbreak of, er, ‘democracy’ in the Middle East has revealed the ‘totalitarian’ nature of faux democracy administered under corporate rule?

Which is to point out how the ‘Guardians of Democracy’ have ‘somehow’ landed on the payroll of the very people they are supposed to be ‘protecting’ us from…

How sad is it that this could have been foreseen by the founders?

It actually WAS but this comes full circle to the only ‘real’ protection our democracy ever had and that was to ensure the election of ‘men both good and true’.

How long do you think THAT lasted?

Given the givens, it failed right out of the box! Washington as much as admitted that if the public learned what the (then elite) was up to (with the Constitution) they would all have been hung for treason!

How ironic is it that this is still the case?

As I have stated before, good citizen, it is no longer a question of ‘IF’ but WHEN?
Note the number of ‘ticks’ I used…then next similarly titled post will have fewer.

If this blog were to have a purpose (besides providing a workable alternative to the current travesty we suffer under) it is a sort of ‘doomsday clock’ ticking off the days until the destruction of our civilization.

Which I have provided ample evidence that the criminals currently in charge intend to do if only as a way to escape prosecution for their crimes.

It’s not about the money (which will soon be no good.) It’s about capital punishment.

Anyway, it’s ‘time to worry’ when nationally recognized pundits start to point out how badly broken our nation really is…

This goes way beyond ‘politics’…most of us will only get to ‘discuss’ this among ourselves…AFTER it is too late.

Isn’t it time for a system that puts the Laws we all must live under beyond the reach of the self-interested?

Thanks for letting me inside your head,

Gegner

Civilian casualties

Greetings good citizen,

I’m torn between two issues and while I’m reasonably certain there will be ample time to address both of them…you never know.

I don’t think I need to clarify that there are a lot more than just two issues bothering me, hell most of you are ready to prescribe a strong daily dose of Prozac for me.

But this isn’t a ‘happiness’ thing…nor am I particularly ‘grumpy’.

It is what it is. That said, nothing gets done about it if we DON’T talk about it.

One ‘issue’ I’m torn about is the ‘side’ issue. For years conservatives have been ‘recruiting’ with the ‘you’re either with us or against us’ meme, often claiming the ‘high ground’ of Patriotism as their own.

Well good citizen, the time has come to figure out which ‘side’ you are on.

Are you on the side of the ‘flag waving patriots’ or are you still in possession of your own free will?

The right demands ‘mindless obedience’ to some mighty warped ideas but what is the left offering besides not being as ‘dictatorial’ as the right?

The right is more than willing to tell you precisely where the bear shits (but unfortunately it is the right that is clueless about how to run a society. They honestly don’t know how to go about it and it is their ‘let the chips fall where they may’ attitude that has trashed our economy.

The right is the personification of the parable about ‘failing to plan equaling planning to fail.’

How ironic is it that the ‘party of ideas’ hasn’t got a single workable solution?

They have indeed proven to be the party of ‘bad’ ideas.

(Especially their inclination to go to war over absolutely nothing.)

Still, it has been proven preferable to the largely ‘leaderless’ left.

Especially to those who don’t know any better.

Yeah, that’s a poke at you young’uns.

It should serve as ‘enlightening’ to advise you that when conservatives say ‘screw ‘em all and the dumb ones twice…they’re referring to you.

It’s ‘Dumb and Dumber’ writ large!

How pitiful is it that they aren’t particularly bright themselves yet they count on their followers to be even stupider?

Only going to prove that it doesn’t have to make sense, it only has to work…and work it does.

They don’t care what kind of nonsense you fill your head with so long as you remain true to your/their ‘patriotic ideals’.

Which leads us to the disturbing, er, definition of patriotism.

Were the Nazi’s ‘patriots’?

They most certainly were, arguably to a fault!

‘Loving your country’ doesn’t, by default, make you a ‘good person’ or a good citizen!

Worse, neither does blind obedience!

Making the ‘leadership void’ on the left that much more dangerous (because there is currently nothing to offset/balance the ‘hardcore’ right.) Without an opposing point of view our kids (and rudderless adults along with them) are left with only the caricatures of the left, provided by the right, for contrast.

Is it any wonder that I keep pointing out how we are being ‘set-up’ for a ‘fall’?

Yeah, it’s THAT obvious.

You know nature abhors a vacuum, Marx and his fellow philosophers didn’t dry up and blow away, leftist thinkers have been actively denied access to the stage!

THAT’S how much control the Corporate owned media exercises over the ’marketplace of ideas’.

YOU are being denied access to, er, ’alternative’ points of view (if you don‘t seek them out on your own.)

Which is to once again point out that the ‘mainstream media’ (as well as what passes for an ‘educational system’ around here) are far from ‘fair and balanced’.

If you aren’t disturbed by now you might never be…(I invite you to decide for yourself as to whether or not this is a good or bad thing) there is something even more disturbing I wanted to address, something closely tied to the picking of ‘sides’ (and trust me you WILL choose or risk having the choice made for you!)

One of the, er, ‘obstacles’ to a right wing coup has always been the willingness of the ’security establishment’ to fire upon unarmed citizens.

Police across the nation are ‘under attack’ from conservative politicians who enjoy pretty much the SAME benefits other ‘public sector’ employees enjoy.

Not that conservative politicians are any strangers to hypocrisy!

To be a conservative is to be a hypocrite!

Anyway their hypocrisy is not a ‘clear and present danger’, it is the act of shooting citizens while they protest the outrageous actions of unaccountable elected officials.

What do I have to say on the subject?

It is my opinion that a good number of lives will be spared if the members of the ‘security establishment’ are put on notice that they (and their families) will be held personally accountable for the murder of innocent civilians.

Mind you the ones who ‘judge’ you won’t be wearing black robes…nor will you be given the luxury of defending your actions to a jury.

These ‘out of court’ settlements will be justified by the judgement you took into your own hands when you decided to pull the trigger…following ‘orders’ or not!

But like a lot of things in our messed up society, maybe you feel ‘lucky’. Maybe nobody will recognize you. Are you willing to take that chance?

Worse, being there at all makes you guilty even if you don’t pull the trigger.

But hey, maybe they won’t recognize you behind that Plexiglas visor…

And maybe they will via simple ‘two plus two’.

Not a happy place no matter how you slice it.

Thanks for letting me inside your head,

Descent into Chaos

Greetings good citizen,

I find myself (for the umpteenth time) challenged to ‘make myself useful’ in this rapacious capitalist society of ours.

This has become such a commonplace occurrence that I SHOULD BE used to it by now but no, repetition has yet to make the task any easier…nor has the vast reservoir of knowledge that I’ve accumulated over the years proven particularly useful.

Which leads us to wonder (not for the first time) if we are having the, er, ‘appropriate conversations’ as our species stumbles, er, ’forward’…

Um, not for nothing but we can only wonder what the prize is for winning this particular debate?

What’s the difference if the ‘end result’ is a price you can’t pay, either because you don’t have enough money or if that money is, er, unobtainable’?

You’re still in the exact same spot.

Is it even worthwhile to debate being ’priced out of the market’ when the final decision (of who gets what) will be made at the point of a gun?

And none of this will ever enter a courtroom and no one involved will be wearing a ’badge’.

Not that certain ‘fruitloops’ will stop wearing their, er, ‘insignia of power’ after those institutions have, er, ‘faded away’.

This is akin to economists, er, ‘discounting’ the unemployment situation. How many starving people with nothing but time on their hands would it take to ruin your day?

If he or she is twice your size (or armed) the answer is simple, one.

What’s the ‘Elephant in the room’ good citizen?

Is technology creating more jobs than it is destroying?

No, it is destroying more than it creates…not that you’ll ever hear a politician admit that.

So what’s the ‘solution’ to this unseemly dilemma?

You don’t suppose the answer lies in the work week/day do you?

Not for nothing but ‘moronic’ conservatives would rather create the worst of both worlds, busy work combined with nasty work.

It amuses them to see others suffer. (Sadistically, it would provide me with immense satisfaction to give them a heapin’ helping’ of their own medicine!)

These are the people who propose we have people dig holes and fill them in again for their unemployment checks.

How ‘sick’ is that?

Worse, it is an enormous waste of effort.

There are plenty of productive things that need doing but they don’t get done because capitalists can’t figure out how to make a profit off of the effort.

And the rest of us suffer for the capitalist’s stupidity.

But wait good citizen, there is a dark side playing out here as automation combines with globalization and the world’s ‘surplus population’ grows to ‘unmanageable proportions’.

[sidebar] how does it make you feel to read this here KNOWING what passes for our ‘leadership’ is fully aware of the situation WHILE DOING NOTHING TO CORRECT IT! I don’t know about you, Bud, but it kinda pisses me off…

Oh yeah, while there isn’t a ‘capitalist’ solution to this ‘crisis’, A Simple Plan does in fact save civilization from collapsing!

So, yeah. If you were to ask me, we aren’t having the, er, ‘appropriate’ conversations for the continuation of our civilization…but that may not be the goal the current ‘elite’ is shooting for.

Not for nothing do I suspect their, er, ‘goal’ is a lot more, er, ‘exclusive’ than world peace. They envision a ‘peaceful world’, one devoid of troublemaking rabble.

A world where it’s legal to dope the ‘servant class’ into a stupor (because they ‘own’ them.)

This is totally sick when you consider that money is nothing more than a legal construct.

Are the rich ‘evil’?

Ironically, that is a matter of perspective.

I do think (most) rich people ARE evil, the capitalist path to wealth is by its very nature purely evil.

The exploitation of your fellow humans for personal gain is reprehensible.

Sadly, it is a situation that persists because if they don’t do it, someone else will.

A damning indictment of our entire species…but (contrary to popular conservative belief) we’re NOT all ‘evil’.

We have merely (heh!) failed to exclude evil from the decision making process.

No irony should be lost on the fact that the ‘tool’ to do this with is well known.

So, as I , for the umpteenth time, embark on that fruitless mission to make myself ‘useful’ in a market that has no use for me, I can take comfort in the fact that the capitalists days are numbered…and very, very short.

Ironically, they will call the coming chaos ‘anarchy’, when nothing could be further from the truth!

Thanks for letting me inside your head,

What comes after 'Happy Talk?'

Greetings good citizen,

Like everyone who asks ‘what comes after a trillion, I find myself pondering what the next logical progression of ‘happy talk’ is?

It would appear the answer is ‘Silly Talk’ or wishful thinking out loud

The wise do not suffer fools gladly, you would do well to emulate the wise.

One of today’s other, er, news items was how the economy has begun shedding jobs again. (How sad is it that I am on the cusp of joining in that statistic once again?)

Next week I will file a new unemployment claim due to the company I work for ceasing operations…

So my already mostly ‘phantom’ resume will add another ‘phantom’ entry to its already ponderous length.

With that as a given, just how ridiculous do the Bernank’s claims appear?

Top Fed officials now expect the output of goods and services to grow by 3.4 to 3.9 percent this year, up from the previous forecast, released in November, of 3 to 3.6 percent. But their grim outlook for the job market was largely unchanged: 8.8 to 9 percent unemployment this year, only one-tenth of a percentage point lower than its November forecast.

If the Fed’s most optimistic forecast were realized, it would be the fastest annual growth since 2004, when the economy expanded by 3.6 percent. But experts say even that rate of growth would only bring unemployment, now at 9 percent, down slowly — to slightly less than 8 percent by the end of 2012, when President Obama will seek re-election.

The forecasts did not change the view that the Fed should continue the $600 billion program to stimulate the recovery by buying government securities, a step begun in November and scheduled to run through June. The Fed said it based its expectations on an improvement in consumer spending in the fourth quarter, though Fed officials were uncertain how long that would last, according to minutes of the Fed’s last policy meeting in late January, released on Wednesday. [Expected ‘improvement’ during Christmas! WTF, good citizen! Let us not forget that the actually data is VERY HEAVILY ‘massaged‘ these days, just like the ‘balance sheets’ of the bankrupt banks!]

“On the one hand, the additional spending could reflect pent-up demand following the downturn, or greater confidence on the part of households about the future, in which case it might be expected to continue,” the minutes noted. “On the other hand, the additional spending could prove short-lived, given that a good portion of it appeared to have occurred in relatively volatile categories such as autos.” [There has been a recent ’rush’ to replace SUV’s with more ’fuel efficient’ vehicles that has nothing to do with an ’improving economy’.]

At the January meeting, the Federal Open Market Committee, the Fed’s main policy arm, voted unanimously to continue the $600 billion Treasury purchase plan, the second round of a strategy that is intended to push down long-term interest rates to ease credit and spur growth. The strategy, known as quantitative easing, has been controversial — critics say it could set the stage for future inflation and asset bubbles — but the Fed has been fairly unified behind it. [‘monetizing’ the debt is driving up asset prices while your purchasing power takes a pounding, it is ‘why’ the stock market keeps rising!]

The minutes indicated that Fed officials saw a diminishing risk of deflation, a protracted fall in prices of the sort that has afflicted Japan for more than two decades. That fear of deflation was a principal factor behind the decision in August to set the stage for the bond purchases.

Wait a minute good citizen, you know like I know the ‘economy’ is toast. If it weren’t for ‘creative accounting’ the banking system would have crashed and burned already!

We’re talking major panic here good citizen, padlocked doors, the whole nine yards!

IF the banking system had to ‘reconcile’ their books the exact same way you and I do, they’d ALL be bankrupt…AND THE BERNANK KNOWS THIS!

So what’s he trying to pull claiming the economy is ‘on the mend?’

(He’s pulling your finger…did you fart?)

This is the Kabuki dance the serious people are all pointing to…but for some unknown reason, nobody is willing to stand up and say ‘hey, what the fuck?’

Our economy, along with the economies of the rest of the developed world, are all smoking wrecks. We all know this but nobody is willing to ‘embrace’ this frightful truth.

That Wile E. Coyote moment economists keep hinting about, we’re there babe!

Is it going to take the total collapse of our supply lines to bring this fact home to the rest of the financially illiterate world?

Apparently so.

So what do we make of ‘Silly Talk’ like tonight’s offering?
This is beyond ‘denial’, it is something more perverted that defies definition.

I leave what to name this travesty up to you, good citizen.

Thanks for letting me inside your head,

Gegner

Tin foil hat territory

Greetings good citizen,

Plans to, er, ‘murder’ the ‘surplus population’ proceed apace.

Just as being an ‘admirer/advocate’ of capitalism DOESN’T make YOU a capitalist (one who makes their living through the ‘shrewd application’ of capital.)

Neither does pointing out ‘socially unacceptable’ truths mark one as ‘insane’.

Although your continued refusal to so much as ‘entertain’ the very real probability of this outcome casts a certain degree of suspicion upon your own ‘mental stability‘…

As a couple of reports yesterday pointed out, revealing the truth doesn’t make it acceptable, people are quite stubborn when it comes to their beliefs.

Still, if you look past the ‘fluff’(dis-information) the corporate owned media continues to ‘spew’, the truth remains ‘unaltered’.

They are doing their damnedest to paint this as an ‘unintended consequence’ of cost reduction while the exact opposite is true.

They most definitely intend to kill as many of us as possible and ‘intent’ is all it takes in our decidedly ‘overcrowded’ world.

You don’t even need to be a very good ‘detective’ to figure it out either.

Because in the end it will all be blamed on ‘mis-management.’

Just as the ‘financial crisis’ is being blamed on an, er, ‘lack of oversight, compounded by a failure to enforce’ existing regulations.

And not only has no one been accused (never mind arrested) for malfeasance or misappropriation but no one has been, er, ‘terminated’ for failure to do their job. (Although I did hear of some regulators being laid-off when funding for their jobs was cut…)

Think of a crime good citizen, the way a criminal does. In order to ‘get away’ with the crime you have to ‘deter pursuit’, either by running to where you can’t be followed or by giving the victims something else to focus on while you make your escape.

Like a world-wide famine, made worse by willful inaction on climate change (not that there’s really anything we CAN do about it. It took a century to get where we are, we aren’t about to reverse that overnight!)

There is another explanation for our screwed up weather but we’re already dancing dangerously close to tin-foil hat territory, so its best not to go there in the same post.

Yes good citizen a crime has been committed and now the perps are paving their way for a ‘clean’ getaway!

It seems committing the crime involved crippling the Justice system, now getting away with it seems to involve ‘collapsing’ the victim’s prosecutorial bodies.

If the government under which the crime was committed collapses, is it still a crime?

Stupid question, of course it is. Unless you ‘own’ the new government!

Which will be ‘phase two’ of the original crime.

Once again I feel compelled to admonish that just because YOU can’t see it doesn’t mean it isn’t happening!

The part that really sucks is now we’re DEEP in tin foil hat territory!

While Sherlock Holmes was a fictional character, his ‘deductive reasoning’ was sound. After eliminating the impossible, the answer lies with in whatever remains.

Have I ever mentioned that immortality would seriously fuck with your head?

Well, screw down your tin-foil hat because I think that’s where I think we’re at!

Again, I’m not telling you what to think, I am merely providing you with something to think about…

Thanks for letting me inside your head,

Forget about it!

Greetings good citizen,

Much is being made in the ‘liberal blogosphere’ about the ‘parallels’ between the unrest in the Middle East and conditions on the ground here in the USA.

Perhaps more disturbingly is how the uprising in the Arab world is being falsely attributed to their ‘democracy deficit’.

‘Elected representation’ has done absolutely nothing to solve (or even slow down) the debilitating social impact of outsourcing here in the US.

Unsurprisingly, the Egyptians face the same ‘problem’ we do (with the added unfortunate consequence of having to deal with a genuine desert as well…) Globalization has turned their economy into a ‘desert’ that is incapable of supporting their people.

In fact much of Western civilization has fallen prey to this decidedly false, er, economic ‘sleight of hand.’

What does it tell you that conservatives support globalization because of it’s principle benefit, lower prices?

Slitting your own jugular is a swift way to lower your blood pressure but that doesn’t make it a ‘good idea’!

Just as throwing away your ability to produce common goods, in the end, only benefit’s the retailer. You are now a ‘captive customer’ with nowhere else to turn.

I don’t think I need to connect the dots for you that turn this into treason on a grand scale…How else would you interpret this unsustainable situation? Capitalism primarily benefits capitalists.

The shocking revelation here is how simply ‘believing’ in capitalism DOES NOT make you a capitalist!

Time once again to play what’s wrong with this picture?

That’s a pretty jaw-dropping example of how much ‘dilution’ has taken place in our, er, currency markets.

How’s that ’money as a storehouse of value’ idea working for you now?

You beginning to get the impression you’re being ’ripped - off’?

The part that SHOULD bother you is how ’asset prices’ have risen while the value of your paycheck has plummeted.

You SHOULD BE deeply disturbed that the useless ’stock market’ continues to climb for no rational reason while your purchasing power falls exponentially.

AND it’s happening right under your nose!

How do we explain this baffling phenomenon?

Because THEY SAID SO!

Seriously good citizen, that’s exactly how it works!

BUT, most of you will refuse to take my word for it.

How ‘lucky’ is that (for them?)

Why are energy prices rising when the ‘cost’ of energy extraction remains stable?

Because YOU can’t do without it!

Just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean they’re NOT trying to KILL you!

Sadly, all of the deception and misinformation leaves you uncertain of just what to think/believe.

So it is patently unhelpful of me to admonish you to make up your own mind…but there it is!

What a sorry state of affairs!

Thanks for letting me inside your head,

Stupid is as stupid does...

Greetings good citizen,

I’m sure none of you would be surprised if I admitted to mentally titling all of my posts lately with ‘stupid is as stupid does!’

For example:
SEATTLE — Few believed the housing market here would ever collapse. Now they wonder if it will ever stop slumping.

It is more than somewhat ironic to find this post on the very same day…

What do these two posts have in common?

They are both indications of our nearly depleted ‘customer base’ (which Ilargi is calling a ‘Ponzi scheme’.)

It isn’t particularly helpful to point out that capitalism is riddled with ‘Ponzi schemes’ (for the express purpose of ‘swindling’ the public.)

As our ‘economic desert’ grows, no one should be surprised that our public institutions are ‘failing’ left and right.

It is a ‘design flaw’ that has finally caught up to the ‘more for me’ crowd.

Worse, it has been treated as an ‘insiders secret’ for years (if not centuries! Although most of the time it doesn‘t last that long)

Two things I’ve been saying right along: One, the situation CAN’T be fixed, the tools don’t exist and Two, we’re past ‘the point of no return’, the current system is both screwed and doomed or ‘scroomed’ if you like.

What does this mean to you?

Well, your, er, ‘average’ pundit would use this as an opportunity to sell you gold (or to offer to buy you’re ‘unwanted’ gold for a fraction of its fair market value.)

Me, I don’t have one of those axes to grind (my motives are even more sinister…)

I want you to get behind putting an end to all of these rip-offs!

How ironic is it that some of you don’t want to see the scam artists suffer?

Hard to determine what is more disturbing, that ‘Heaven’ is the original ‘gated community’ or the widespread belief that you have to ‘buy’ your way in?

Worse, what many of you count as Christian values are precisely the sort of thing ‘Spirit in the Sky’ openly condemns!

Like ‘turning the other cheek’ (while millions suffer.)

Remaining mute while your neighbors are robbed of their livelihoods by rapacious capitalists.

Doing nothing while bankers reward themselves lavishly for turning people out of their homes…

Face it good citizen, most of them so-called Christians are goin’ to Hell!

Not that any of the other, er, religions are going to fair any better come dirt nap time.

I only bring this up because many people turn a blind eye to the here and now in hopes of building their personal ‘mansion in the sky’.

How fucking bizarre is it to be able to point to the genius behind these widespread beliefs (that retribution is ‘assured’ after death) while nobody scoffs at the idea!

(Now we’re back to the title of this piece!)

Brings us full circle to ‘useful idiots’ but I digress.

What’s the bottom line here good citizen?

A ‘vortex’ of interest payments is steadily sucking ALL of the ‘working capital’ out of our fucked up operating system and the only way to stop it is to put an end to the ‘fuck you, pay me’ system!

Literally, flip ‘em all the bird. They’ve already wrung more than they deserve out of the impoverished masses.

They’ll never collect on the gargantuan, fabricated amounts they are allegedly owed.

So, do we exist to enrich the ‘owners’ of our collective resources or do we exist to insure equality and justice for all?

Thanks for letting me inside your head,

Eye Spy

Greetings good citizen,

Just finished reading Frank Rich’s piece for this week and now I don’t feel so bad. If a nationally read, er, ‘critic’ like him can complain about our absent ‘Justice System’ (and nothing changes) I shouldn’t beat myself up for failing at the same task.

Individually, none of you should beat yourself up for failing to, er, ‘protest’ the degenerate condition of our public institutions.

There is absolutely nothing any of you can do about it…alone.

You know the tune…

“United we stand, divided we fall”

So what does this tell us about the most recent display of ‘public unity’?

The Republican’s would simply love it if we ‘protested’ the government they are largely responsible for on Obama’s watch. (That said, I have serious doubts that Mr. Obama is anybody’s idea of a Democrat or if ANYONE running for public office even has the slightest clue what it means to be a champion of the working class. Neither Clinton had a clue.)

Or as Dylan famously pointed out, a ‘working class hero is something you eat.’

Anyway, what do you suppose the Egyptians will get for their, er, ‘tenacity’?

Right beneath Mr. Rich’s commentary today we had both, er, ‘neo-con’ commentators cheering on the outbreak of Democracy in the Middle East.

What’s wrong with this picture? FUCKING Hosni Mubarack was a DICTATOR put in place BY THE US GOVERNMENT!!!

Why does the corporate owned media choose to ignore this fact?

Could it be due to the unflattering light this situation shines upon ‘fuck you, pay me capitalism?’

Whole societies, er, ‘repressed’ so a few can be rich…

You can understand how this could look ‘bad’ for people who consistently preach that you are the author of your own destiny…

To live a lie you have to do a lot of ignoring of, er, ‘inconvenient facts’.

There’s an old saying that goes ‘when what passes for truth varies too far from the everyday experiences of the common individual, the seeds of revolution are sown.’

Now contrast that with Kruchev’s diatribe on ‘gradualism’ and what have you got?

Does anybody have a firm grip on reality?

Sort of brings us full circle with the issue about the seeds of revolution.

There won’t be a protest never mind a revolt if nobody thinks there’s nothing amiss!

Naturally this leads back to the Overton Window and the ‘science’ behind perception management.

We have (and continue to) let the ‘self-interested’ dictate the terms of the game.

It would be a different story if nobody got hurt (by this manipulation) but that’s not the case.

There have already been 7 million foreclosures and there’s 7 million more waiting to happen.

Which is to slap anybody who even ‘imagines’ that there is EVER going to be ANYTHING that even remotely resembles an ECONOMIC RECOVERY right in their foolish face.

Thus does reality differ significantly from what has been, er, ‘advertised’.

Yet nobody complains.

That’s unfair, there are many people in the blogosphere speaking out about the ‘hypocrisy’ of the Media.

Then there are people like me, closing the loop and hollering about treason…which is precisely what it is.

Brings up another curious point, how the ‘ya-hoos’ who don’t know which end is up are constantly trying to ‘muddy the water’ surrounding the universal understanding of the word.

How sad is it that anyone who objects to (decidedly fascist) conservative values or ideas is guilty (as far as conservatives are concerned) of ‘treason’?

They routinely accuse ‘liberals’ of treason just for being true to their values.

Understand good citizen that ‘treason’ is putting your own interests ahead of the ‘common good’.

It is only natural that conservatives, who routinely ‘self-promote’ would want to ‘re-define’ this term.

Betraying conservative principles, which are decidedly treasonous by themselves, is not if fact treason unless you yourself are a conservative.

Yet these fucktards regularly portray non-conservatives as ‘traitors’.

So when it comes to the media, how much truth do you think there is to the much bemoaned ‘liberal bias’ we keep hearing about in (ironically) the media.

Oh, and the ‘less liberal’ the media outlet is, the more they bitch about it!

So, who the fuck is bitching about the decidedly ‘conservative bias’ that is readily apparent in the corporate owned media?

How does ‘nobody’ hit you?

Even the likes of Frank Rich doesn’t get to, er, ‘criticize’ his own medium.

His stuff has to pass muster with an editor and you can only tug so hard at the curtain of respectability.

Which is to point out that the only ‘free press’ available is right here in front of your eyes.(Not just me, the blogosphere in general.)

Perception management, it’s more pervasive than you think.

Thanks for letting me inside your head,

Gegner

I write for thee

Greetings good citizen,

Readership is going right down the old pooper and I can only wonder why?

My knee jerk reaction is to accuse myself of becoming ‘irrelevant’, I have nothing ‘fresh’ to share with you and you are behaving accordingly.

Then I consider my ‘target audience’ and things take a more sinister turn.

Who do I write for (besides you?)

How many of my readers no longer have internet access because they are homeless?

If I were homeless the last thing I’d do is read a guy who would constantly reminded me of who was responsible for my sorry state. I’d have more important matters to attend to like where my next meal was coming from?

At the end of the day good citizen, I write this stuff for me. It is literally an exercise in thinking out loud.

Then I run it up the flagpole to see who salutes!

Anyway, tomorrow is a new day.

Victory in Egypt

Greetings good citizen,

I didn’t even bother chasing down the report that the stock market ‘liked’ Hosni Mubarak’s, er, ’departure’ from Egyptian politics.

Many observers are ’skeptical’ that replacing Mubarak with the guy who as recently as last week was running the Egyptian equivalent of the CIA, is in fact a ’change’.

My position remains unchanged because 'no matter how you slice it, it come up puppets!'

He may be able to effect some ’cosmetic’ changes to placate his critics but he will find himself curiously ineffective when it comes to upsetting the capitalist’s applecart.

That means no more jobs (than there already aren’t) and no lower food/commodity prices.

So, good citizen, what did our little exercise in peaceful democratic change accomplish?

Mark my words, NOTHING.

Express your, er, ’displeasure’ with the current leadership and you will be rewarded with new (but equally ineffective) leadership!

Now THAT’S ’progress’!

Pretty soon we are going to experience for ourselves what happens when the, er, ‘party’ that’s guiding principle is the ‘ineffectiveness of government‘, leaves a big void where the administration of our society should be.

And guess who’s going to step up to fill that void?

The same assholes who caused this fucking train wreck! The ‘more for me’ (free trade) capitalists!

Given the circumstances on the ground (and their small numbers) I predict a ‘bloodbath’.

People are fed up with the elites grabbing everything that isn’t nailed down and sticking the taxpayer with the tab!

Worse is how perception will become reality, and a lot of innocent people will pay the ultimate price for acts they (personally) had nothing to do with. (But other members of their profession did. It’s the ‘guilt by association thing‘…in spades.)

Sadly, some of them understand the dangerous situation created for them by their, er, ‘peers’ but their astronomical student debt keeps them locked into the only profession that pays them enough to live on.

Oh fucking well!

If we back away and try to take in the Big Picture we are left to wonder just who we can trust?

The media isn’t ‘trustworthy’, neither are the ‘Corporates’ (who are directly responsible for the train wreck.

What about totally irrational Wall Street? Nope, you can’t trust them assholes either.

What about the Justice system? Considering how that fish rotted from the head down, it’s not looking good.

So what’s left? Should we all congregate in the church of our choice and pray to ‘spirit in the sky’ to save us from the predators who no longer claim kinship with us?

Yup, that’s the cruelest cut good citizen, when people finally figure out that Globalization was done ‘to’ them and not ‘for’ them, the Perps will flip from being our champions to what they were originally. They will once again call themselves our betters as they revert to their ‘original’ position, that none of us is ‘worthy’, that we are all weaklings who deserve our fate.

How ironic will it be as they sputter in indignation while we ’frog march ’em to the gallows?’

Yes good citizen, the penalty for treason is death by hanging…

Good to have a starting point in the long sled to restore equality and justice.

I don’t suspect any new social organization will permit the few to fuck the rest of us, not at first, anyway.

It will take a while to re-establish the trust necessary to start functioning as a coherent society again. There’s a good reason not to allow the media to become too consolidated (like the Reagan Republicans did.)

Once you can no longer trust the media, you’re pretty well screwed.

We haven’t been able to trust the media for quite some time now, so the ‘fallout’ from such a situation is likely to be horrendous.

It leads me to conclude that the, er, ‘destruction’ of the media will be the ‘tip of the spear’ as the current corrupt regime is annihilated.

Now, how many of you think I’m just ‘dreaming with my eyes open?

Because (bizarrely) there is a large contingent of people who think the general public is willing to endure endless privation just to preserve the status quo.

While I think those people are batshit crazy!

It is for you to decide which of us is correct…

Eve of Destruction

Greetings good citizen,

It’s probably just me BUT my head tends to explode when I read articles like this

After all, poker is essentially a simplified representation of financial investment in a capitalist society, and the fish are the reckless "speculators" in the broadest sense of that term, which includes most people who adhere to mainstream beliefs about "proper" lifestyle choices in their society. Those of us who are aware of the deeper and more comprehensive trends in our socioeconomic system are the solid players in the poker game of life, and the facts/data that support these trends are our bets. The broad socioeconomic trends that we are currently experiencing in the developed world are pretty clear and straightforward (leaving aside the critical issues of peak oil and climate change):
The financial model of growth in the developed world has run its course and financial assets will be significantly reduced in value over the next few years.

Systematic deleveraging will lead to persistently high unemployment and widespread poverty.

Societal institutions or systems that rely on financial stability will continue to deteriorate at an accelerating pace (education, healthcare, etc.).

States running large fiscal deficits to support their private economies will quickly slide into insolvency and default on ambitious promises to their citizens.

Housing, food and energy will become unaffordable for millions of people as wealth in the form of revenues, investments and savings is rapidly destroyed, and short-term speculative plays in the commodity space fueled by central bank liquidity will only make this dynamic worse.

Political institutions or systems that have exercised power during the unprecedented financial boom will come under an equally unprecedented societal pressure and will most likely be overhauled or completely dismantled.

Okay Skippy, I make it as all out (civil/class) war by bullet point number four. What say you?

The question is just how much, er, ‘dis-function’ can society tolerate before the wheels come flying off?

Yes, certain of the above features will be occurring ‘simultaneously’ and the example ends without addressing the ‘void’ left by the collapsed/overthrown power structure.

Which is to acknowledge that by the time we get to the fourth bullet point, the fifth and sixth will already be happening…and the sad part is we are already past the tipping point.

The ‘exclusions’ created by the third consecutive ‘jobless recovery’ have already doomed our civilization. There can be no ‘starting over’ without first tearing down that which has gone before.

The danger lies in letting the same shit weasels who poisoned the well the first time access to the rebuilding process.

They will deliberately ‘sabotage’ the rebuilding process by asserting their ‘influence’ over vital aspects of the, er, ‘reformed’ society.

But I digress (damn it!)

The important issue to acknowledge is the ‘doomed’ part. We don’t have the tools necessary to fix our ‘runaway’ government because the elite has removed the tool box from our grasp.

(Hell, they poisoned the well too but no need to go there! Why belabor the obvious?)

The question is what can we do to minimized the impact of impending collapse?

I don’t believe it is possible to avert the ‘cleansing’ (that will only muddy the water as both sides ‘one up’ each other.) that will accomplish nothing more than to determine who is in nominal control at any given moment.

Yes good citizen, there will (inexplicably) be ’sides’ even after things fall apart.

Worse, some of those ‘sides’ will be downright bizarre! (Which is to say there will be a surprisingly large contingent of people bent on exterminating the human race) Their goal will be to ‘save the planet’ for its ‘non-sentient’ inhabitants (which they should include themselves as being a part of.)

Sadly, this is why we live in a very screwed up world…because the predators among us emphasize the fact that there’s no ‘I’ in team (and it’s all about them!)

If we are to survive as a species we need to do so as a single, united team (and not as a collection of drones that are exploited by our self-professed ‘betters’.)

How we organize our future society will determine the lot we commit our children to.

But again I digress.

We are, as most of you may realize, in a heap of trouble.

It is my impression that only a fraction of the planets current human population will survive to see the founding of a new, sustainable social model.

Worse, if order isn’t restored within a decade, the devastation may be ‘irreversible’.

Here we face a similar problem faced by our blood-thirsty military, the exploiters among us merely need to survive in order to win.

All they have to do is not get wiped out and it’s ‘game on’ all over again.

If we are to ascend to the next level, we have to put an end to being our own worst enemy.

The human anti-exploitation law, the time has come.

We all scream for ice cream!

Greetings good citizen,

Notice how Egypt is already receding in the rearview mirror? It’s ‘old news’ now and the corporate owned media is anxious to move on.

While we would all like to see the people of Egypt succeed in winning their freedom it’s not looking like their US Puppet masters are going to let that happen.

So I ask you good citizen, how many of you were shocked to learn that our own government was so deeply involved in propping up the Egyptian dictatorship?

When the media covered the Egyptian elections a couple of years ago, didn’t they seem to be ‘cheerleading’ in favor of the man who was the only one on the ballot?

How unfortunate is it that there, like here, the ballot box only produces whatever the media says it produced?

It’s ALWAYS ‘too close to call’ (even when most of the electorate is totally disgusted with the status quo, ‘somehow’ the people keep voting for ‘more of the same’.

Vote, don’t vote, it doesn’t matter, the elections themselves are just ‘window dressing’ used to legitimize a foregone conclusion.

‘The people have voted against themselves (and their own best interests,) again!’

This leaves the whole nation muttering to itself about how the other half is batshit crazy!

Not exactly a solid foundation to build a consensus upon…is it?

Who legitimately believes the Republican’s regained control of the House after eight years of Republican rule destroyed the economy?

Who is STUPID enough to believe that?

Sadly good citizen, the answer is a close as the nearest mirror.

Not because you’re stupid but because there isn’t a fucking thing you can do about it and the ‘owners’ of the media know it.

The first step towards freedom is acknowledging that you’re currently blind. If you know who has, er, ‘deprived you of the truth’, you’re halfway to freedom.

Maybe its time we had a different conversation, one about whether or not you want your freedom?

Some of you don’t.

You like the ‘security’ that comes from having all of your decisions made for you.

Well, what some of you fail to realize is that the day is coming when the one making the decisions will have to decide between what’s good for them and what’s good for you.

How do you think they are going to choose?

If you are even waffling a little here, you lose.

The choice is death: personal, it’s you or them.

How deluded do you have to be to think, even for a second, that they will choose in your favor?

Hell, what good are you? You can’t even make your own choices!

Do you see the circumstances being ‘obedient’ leaves you in?

If you let someone else decide whether you will live or die you need to understand that they are making that decision for all of your future generations! If YOU DIE, THEY DIE! (This is why murder is such a heinous crime!)

Well don’t look now good citizen but you have BEEN ROBBED of making THAT CHOICE!

Like your money, those who control the media control YOU!

Do you really want corporate interests determining what you can and cannot see?

Because that’s the way it is.

Remember good citizen, it’s not my job to tell you what to think, it’s my job to give you something to think about…

Hopefully you keep returning here because I take you places you’ve never been before.

There are lots more ‘possibilities’ than the narrow path the status quo herds us upon.

It is difficult to grasp the concept that there are people out there who don’t give a fuck about your freedom, all they care about is theirs.

Um, let’s rephrase that with the qualifier ‘people in positions of power’.

We are constantly assured that powerful people are both competent AND caring, your satisfaction is their job number one!

(And their shit is ice cream, vanilla or chocolate, you choose!)

The part of this that people reject is the idea that this is ‘personal’, hell these people don’t even know that you exist, how could they be ‘out to get you’?

This is, once again, looking at the situation the wrong way. First, they know you’re there, they know! Not only do they know but it bugs the shit out of them because what they want to do isn’t going to work out too well for you and yours.

You can not survive in an ‘economic desert’, no jobs means no life. Understand that fucking economists automatically turn you into cavemen when no other means of support exists.

You are somehow supposed to ‘live off of the land’ once traditional commerce dries up and moves to the other side of the planet.

So, does ‘jerky’ know you exist…he sure does, the part that should frighten you is he doesn’t give a fuck what happens to you. His chief concern is preventing the government from interfering with his little screw job.

So make no mistake about it good citizen, it IS personal.

Worse, you ARE the fuckee.

Is the US broken?

What do you think?

I think we could get 99% agreement on THAT subject (Because we’re being screwed by the one percent of the population that ‘owns’ more than 25% of the nation.)

This is an ‘imbalance’ that needs to be corrected immediately, if not sooner.

Thanks for letting me inside your head,

Collision Alert!

Greetings good citizen,

While it is not unusual for my posts to, er, ‘drift’ into visions of apocalyptic horror. (I’ll be the first one to admit/lament my more than a little annoying tendency to wander off topic) I don’t think my more recent posts provide you with an accurate ‘snapshot’ of how rapidly the situation is, er, ‘decaying’.

Civilization, as most of us have come to know it, left the pavement some time ago. We can pretty much estimate that the ‘rubber left the road’ roughly three years ago.

For three decades we have been watching as what is commonly described as a ‘slow motion train wreck’ has unfolded before our astonished eyes.

Is it really a stretch of the imagination to consider that it has taken three years to go from ‘lift-off’ to ‘impact’?

Worse, the long grind to a halt will also take place in ‘slo-mo’, so it will seem like it’s taking forever to a ‘real time’ observer.

First up for tonight is bit that got caught in my Spam filter (which I assure you is ‘dead stock’, the settings on my e-mail are at the defaults, I don’t screw with that stuff.)

I think the sender committed the heinous crime of not being found in my address book, therefore he was relegated to the ‘Spam folder’.

Anyway, here is what I found.

Between Monetary Polices
Where are markets heading to?

link: http://www.wepersons.com/Where_are_markets_heading_to.pdf

At the time of stock exchange drops, the FED boss, Ben Bernanke, said to his colleagues:

Buy everything, I shall give you so much money that you will be able to do so. You can get as much as you want. Later, when assets get dearer, you will make dozens of percents whilst you give back a mere few percent, at around the nominal value. We shall declare this program as our joint success.

Now, even more disclosure…I have Adobe acrobat but it (like me) is old. For some reason (age possibly) my version of Adobe won’t open the document attached to the link.

I could probably download a more recent version of Adobe Reader but that will take time and that is at a premium currently.

Rather than debate the ‘few seconds’ it would take to hunt down and fix my systems shortcomings, let’s spend a moment on the part of the document we can view, the part my anonymous correspondent included. (The e-mail was NOT sent anonymously but for the sake of our purposes here the sender’s identity will remain unknown.)

By now most of you are muttering ‘get on with it’…

Well, you’ve read it for yourself, what hits you in the eye?

How about the Benank giving Wall Street all the loot it needs to pump up the markets to, er, ‘irrational heights’?

What does this say about the, er, ‘nature of money’, is it starting to look funny to you too?

I have preached here constantly about how both trust and confidence are the glue that binds our society. Without either one we are just a bunch of warring savages.

What we see here is precisely what forms the basis for the laws of treason, the betrayal of the public trust.

‘Globalists’ contend that there is no longer any such a thing as public trust, therefore there is no such thing as treason.

This is in direct conflict with the conventions that prevent us from killing one another on sight.

Without the ‘glue of trust’ that is demonstrated by the confidence we have in our fellow humans, society itself CANNOT exist.

Not ‘nations’ but civilization is impossible without trust and confidence.

Isn’t that what YOU saw?

Sure you did, it hit you right where you live didn’t it?

Understand that this all started when some idiot proposed to create ‘capitalist utopia’ via currency manipulation.

We're talking the 'cheaper' and therefore 'more competitive' there THAT CAN ONLY EXIST THROUGH CURRENCY MANIPULATION! (Which doesn't occur in a vacuum, PS by the way.)

Sadly, that idiot was called a genius by the same assholes who can’t see beyond the end of their nose, the same ones that are constantly ‘mystified’ by the consequences of their actions.

‘Blowback’ is stupidity’s most persistent reward.

How unfortunate is it for the rest of us that the blowback created by the truly stupid rich doesn’t affect them until after they’ve pushed their society into its own cesspool?

Well, like the French Revolution, payback time is a coming.

(Although these fools think Blackwater [or whatever they call themselves these days] will save them.)

Somehow one tends to suspect that they already know there is no place to hide. That in the future capitalists will be hunted like the Mossad hunts Nazis.

That said, it is time to ‘wander’ back on topic…

What were we discussing?

Oh yeah, our rapidly approaching ‘collision’ with reality.

Since the Federales can print their own money (thereby covering their own checks) our civilization will collapse from the ‘inside’ first.

What remains to be seen is whether or not the cavalry will come to the rescue (or, more specifically, ‘who’ will get rescued?)

Homeowners were left to twist in the wind while the banks were handed tons of cash they couldn’t use. (Since the vast majority of US Citizens are already stretched to the limit, credit wise.)

Many pundits are predicting that the Federal Government will, er, ‘allow’ the States to renege on there ‘contractual obligations’ and that this will cause a HUGE upsurge in local officials ‘cashing in’ on their ‘legal capacity’. (Can you say ‘shakedowns’?)

It will also result in a huge uptick in the murder rate (which will go unacknowledged by the corporate owned media.)

You will go nowhere unarmed and you will NEVER EVER pull over for ‘blue lights.’

When will this happen? Sooner than anyone thinks.

The coming global ‘famine’ (induced by high prices driven by diluted currency) will push this whole situation over the edge.

What’s happening in the third world today will be on our doorstep tomorrow.

Haven’t you ever wondered what happened to the ‘second world’?

The second world is YOU! The ‘paycheck peasants’ of the world!

Remember what I told you about your paycheck? (If you can’t make ends meet it is not your boss’s problem, it’s yours!)

Well, guess what?

Thanks for letting me inside your head,

Piss Poor Planning

Greetings good citizen,

You’d think I’d run out of things to ‘bitch’ about but no, it seems the Corporate owned media has an endless supply.

The part that you should find disturbing is how most of these news items reflect events I predicted would occur more than a year ago…and I ain’t psychic.

You don’t need to be psychic to know that when you throw a brick at a regular pane of glass, it’s going to break.

Um, considering that some of my, er, ‘predictions’ are much more dire than the sudden (but totally foreseeable) return of the global food crisis, you should afraid, very afraid in fact.

Naturally, the Corporate owned media is blaming the ‘usual suspect’, the food cirsis is being blamed on ‘the weather’.

We, as a species, learned the importance of ‘redundancy’ the hard way. Our original ‘hand to mouth’ existence taught us the value of squirreling something away for a time when the harvest went poorly.

How fucking bizarre is it that this hard-earned knowledge has been ‘discarded’ by people who have never experienced hunger?

[hat tip: Some Assembly Required ]

It won't make the Bernanke critics happy, nor will it satisfy those who want to blame the banks and the speculators, but the sad fact is that, per the IMF, the reason there are food shortages and high prices all around the world is that “we've had a huge global harvest failure.” The world is closer to a major famine today than it has been in decades because recent crop failures due to droughts and floods have reduced global food stocks dramatically.

Not too long ago the world had more than seven years worth of grain held in ‘reserve’…BUT it seems SOMEBODY thought it was a ‘good idea’ to sell those reserves off.

And from a ‘profits’ point of view, somebody was right. The grain markets have become extremely, er, ‘sensitive’ to shortages since the reserves were…’done away with.’

This is capitalism at its worst, good citizen. These traitorous fucks are gambling with our civilization just so they can capitalize on what can only be called a ‘man made catastrophe’.

So yeah, a ‘bad harvest’ is only part of the story…the rest is ‘fuck you - pay me!’

This is Scrooge ‘hijacking’ the buyers of corn on Christmas Eve.

The unspoken question here is how many will die due to these bastards evil recklessness?

Shifting gears slightly (for the two are related) we arrive at this little gem: China Eyes U.S. Defense Contracts

Boeing has been unable to deliver on the ‘Dreamliner’ for three years now…why is that? Because the parts made in China don’t fit!

But that shouldn't stop us from pursuing, er, ‘cheaper’ aviation contracts with Chinese vendors!

The question is Where does Piss Poor Planning stop?

Sadly, good citizen, the final destination is you.

I constantly point out how our civilization is mis-managed. How much more proof do you need?

No. 348: Labor Conditions and Revisions

Yes, good citizen, your eyes don’t deceive you. The actual employment figure of January SHOULD HAVE BEEN a loss…but, for political reasons, creative accounting was brought into play.

So just like today’s ‘climate related’ food crisis (which is sparking revolts throughout the, er, ‘low food production’ areas of the world) now you know it’s only part of the story!

Piss poor planning by people who couldn’t manage their own suicide is a larger part of the problem.

Think about it for a moment, how many people have to get screwed to make a single billionaire?

Through a picture, darkly...

Greetings good citizen,

Being Super Bowl Sunday (I never watch televised sports, I’d rather watch paint dry) but that once again puts me in the ‘minority’.

Still, there won’t be much of an audience out there today so I’ll make today’s post relatively brief.

Conspicuous by its absence is the media’s coverage of alternatives to the status quo. Even the current ‘puppet show’ being exposed in the Middle East is being played like nobody over here is paying attention.

Which isn’t precisely the case because it’s just another example of ‘there ain’t a fucking thing we can do about it’ given the current circumstances.

What does the world expect us to do, march in the freezing cold to protest our government’s underhandedness?

Protesting post Patriot Act is an extremely risky proposition. If I’m gonna risk being renditioned, I think I’d pick a more worthwhile cause than which dictator would our government supports.

They are too many criminals at large right here to be concerned with the criminals overseas.

Which bring us to tonight’s offering where the woman who was unaware that Africa was a continent advises the rest of us about how disastrous the policies of the Obama Administration are…

Like no one knows that our current troubles were caused by the last utterly corrupt Republican administration.

Which is to ask how unfortunate it is for the rest of us that conservatives care more for ‘truthiness’ than they care for the truth.

Not that I completely disagree with the former Alaskan governor, Mr. Obama is proving to be what everyone feared John McCain would become, George Bush’s third term.

Which is to belabor the fact that the Party designation of a particular candidate is meaningless if they all agree up front to take their marching orders from the same group of elites that have been running things since the Kennedy Assassination.

But anyone who brings THAT subject up is also guilty of wearing a tinfoil hat!

So the ‘reality based’ set just ignores the string of ‘coincidences’ that have taken place since then.

This is, naturally, perception management at its finest.

Make them believe the truth is lies and people won’t know what to believe.

It has, so far, worked like a charm.

So, what does your mind tell you?

Not the ‘voices in your head’, silly but the gaping wholes in the official version of everything.

Your mind is telling you constantly that things don’t add up, that you’re not being shown the whole picture…but you can’t think of a good reason for them to lie to you.

Or can you?

There’s a reason why your hemorrhoids never quite heal.

Not exactly a pleasant mental image but it makes the point.

So, will it only be conservatives who will be ‘prepared’ for the ‘dark future’ that is coming?

Highly unlikely.

One lie stacks up on top of the previous one and pretty soon you have no idea which end is pointing up.

Didn’t I promise to make this post brief?

Mustn’t break my word!

Thanks for letting me inside your head,

Gegner
