Buckle Up!

Greetings good citizen,

Seems to be something about the ‘kill off’ message that readers find too disturbing to contemplate.

Which is sort of a shame because finding it ‘distasteful’ doesn’t lessen the likelihood of it happening a single iota.

Make no mistake about it good citizen, YOU are being ‘undermined’ at every critical juncture. Every aspect of your life is being flushed away so you WON’T have a crack at the ‘mating game’…even if it’s just to scratch your itch.

(Because we have to face the reality that most kids are conceived not when we’re calling the stork but when we’re getting our freak on! By the time most of us get around to actually calling the stork, the doctor is needed to lend a ‘helping hand’. Do you know a married couple who ISN’T in a fertility program? And for some bizarre reason THIS is NOT NEWS!)

But we digress, let us proceed with today’s offering
Feelings of decreased self-worth and desirability go hand-in-hand with job insecurity—and they make you feel about as alluring as an Uglydoll. The 2011 blockbuster film Bridesmaids follows the sexual and romantic mishaps of Annie Walker, a 30-something woman who lost her bakery in the Great Recession and finds herself working at a dead-end retail job at a jewelry store that makes her feel miserable. And even that goes down the tubes when she mocks the relationship commitments of customers. Annie hooks up with jerks and feels unworthy of a nice guy when he finally comes along. Her mojo returns only when she begins to see the possibility of restarting her business. For her, meaningful work and a satisfying love life are indissolubly linked.

Our bodies –and our hearts -- were not made to cope with long-term job insecurity. To fully open ourselves to the right person and let go physically, we need a measure of safety in our lives. But three consecutive years of unemployment over 8 percent – the worst such run since the Great Depression – is leaving us fearful and forlorn. Shredded social safety nets and weak bonds of community and kinship mean that there’s little to mute the intensity of anxiety that never seems to fade.

It’s even worse than it seems good citizen, the kids are being told that we did this to them ‘on purpose’, that we gave birth to them solely so we could collect our ‘entitlement programs’.

Another reason we should ‘cap’ all registered Republicans on sight.
What a viscous fucking lie to tell our kids! (But it is sadly consistent with everything else these deluded bastards do!)

Minds that can only hate have no time or room for thinking.

Which is to point out it would be mighty fucking stupid of us to have all of these kids then EXPORT all of their jobs! (So Wally-Mart could charge ‘lower prices’ by paying less than a living wage in a third world economy based of rampant fraud!)

Worse, this practice has destabilized the global economy…and the fuckers (think) they are going to just sit there and snicker when it all implodes.

(I think the ones who aren’t smart enough to run should be killed where we find them!)

Not that the responsible parties are particularly obvious.

It will take some research to ferret out the people behind Adam Smith’s ‘invisible hand’…that robs us all blind!

Anyway, stock markets around the globe are bleeding red ink (again) and nobody is ‘surprised’ except stock analysts but that’s what their paid to do…

How nice is it, being paid to be Mickey the Dunce?

Stock markets should be shut down tomorrow and all of the operators tried for treason and crimes against humanity.

But that’s just my opinion.

And almost nobody gives a flying fig what I think…more or less.

Anyway good citizen, I’ve got crap to do and people to comfort in the hour of their loss…yes, the ‘death watch’ ended this morning. She’s gone to a better place!

Hold a place in your heart for a moment for the good souls who pass through our lives too quickly.

Only the good die young, the rest of us had best buckle up, it’s gonna be a long, bumpy ride!

Thanks for letting me inside your head,

Beat the Rich!

Greetings good citizen,

Ground Hog’s day marks the ‘middle’ of, the further north you go, a much longer, er, ‘heating season.’

Still, early February remains the ‘half-way mark’ (and if you do the math it’s six weeks until March 21, regardless of what the famous Pennsylvania rodent sees or doesn’t see…)

In the off chance that he doesn’t ‘see his shadow’ the ‘just around the corner’ proclamation still leaves us looking at a big honkin’ window. Could be three weeks, could be five and a half…depends on how far south you live…

Which brings us to the opposite side of the equation. If you live far enough north ‘heating season’ can last until the beginning of June! (Again, regardless of what the rodent sees…)

With the darkening approach of another ice-hard Saturday night in western Maine, the man on the telephone was pleading for help, again. His tank was nearly dry, and he and his disabled wife needed precious heating oil to keep warm. Could Ike help out? Again?

Ike Libby, the co-owner of a small oil company called Hometown Energy, ached for his customer, Robert Hartford. He knew what winter in Maine meant, especially for a retired couple living in a wood-frame house built in the 19th century. But he also knew that the Hartfords already owed him more than $700 for two earlier deliveries.

The oil man said he was very sorry. The customer said he understood. And each was left to grapple with a matter so mundane in Maine, and so vital: the need for heat. For the rest of the weekend, Mr. Libby agonized over his decision, while Mr. Hartford warmed his house with the heat from his electric stove’s four burners.

With nearly half of US households on some variety of ‘food assistance’ it is rather, er, ‘misleading’ to talk about a single struggling home, er, renter in the Boonies of Maine. (The article advises ‘the Hartfords’ moved there a couple of months ago from the Pacific Northwest.)

Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont have never been economic powerhouses, all three have ‘tourist centric’ economies. If the tourists don’t come, they starve.

So the on-going ‘depression’ has really spread things thin for those who rely on the ‘kindness of strangers’.

Worse, yesterday’s ‘politically motivated’ jobs report isn’t helping matters either.

You can’t ‘massage’ a bad economy away. You can no sooner lie your way to prosperity than you can print your way out of debt!

Yet they are attempting to do both!

Worse, you are supposed to believe their lies while they loot the country for everything they can grab!

(I mean, why lie if there’s nothing in it for you?)

Sure, we are, er, ‘surrounded’ by spineless ‘yes-men’ but the ‘nothing for nothing’ rule still applies.

Yeah, there’s a definite downside of being the ‘bearer of bad tidings’ but that downside multiplies a hundred fold if you are the bearer of a lie!

‘The public trust’ is an oxymoron if there ever was one but the French Revolution teaches us what happens when you, er, ‘disrespect the fate of the common man’…

It is then that you receive schooling in your own mortality.

Most would opine that we need not go that far to effect change (revolution) but ‘some’ would opine that we are already well beyond a remedy of ‘words alone’.

Some (like my humble self) would point to the last Great Depression and complain the reason we suffered from a repeat so soon is directly related to our failure to ‘properly punish’ the miscreants who caused the last rupture!

(Truth be told, good citizen, the criminals who crippled the global economy the last time got away ‘scott-free’, it was ‘assumed’ that the 90% marginal tax rate would serve as sufficient punishment.)

Sadly, they were, er, ‘mistaken’, much to our current chagrin.

Thus the ‘need’ to completely overhaul the system and how it works.

It is also well known that ‘convicting’ a wealthy individual and slapping them in irons is a ‘temporary measure’ at best. If you’ve got enough ‘clout’ you’ll serve a little time in ‘minimum security’ facility and you’ll be ‘pardoned’ by whatever executive (state or national) is departing office.

This, as the old saying goes, ‘will not do!’

Naturally, I belabor the obvious when I point out the ‘necessity’ of cleaning house prior to rebooting the system.

There will be ‘no change’ if we accept a new order designed by the same people who ran the old order into the ground!

We cannot, as a species, afford to lose the battle for basic human rights again!

Thanks for letting me inside your head,

Mismanagement coupled with misdirection...

Greetings good citizen,

Are you just standing there like a deer in the headlights, unable to make up your mind about what to do?

Of course you are! So how many of you will be surprised to learn you are already ‘roadkill’ as far as our self-professed ‘betters’ are concerned?

Worse is how the media expects us to swallow the refusal of the, er, ‘opposition’ to raise what they have repeatedly raised for their own ‘sainted’ party leaders while they were president?

I guess it's okay if you're a Republican!

Perhaps more damning is how many of you are convinced that it won’t happen, that it would be political suicide rather than the genocide they are trying to foster?

Among my more ‘out there’ theories is the one where those currently in control are ‘conspiring’ to stretch out their dominion over us by eliminating a large amount of the ‘surplus population’.

If they play their cards right it could win them another hundred years…and if they get it wrong they could wipe out our species! (Which will happen anyway if we don’t seriously alter how and why we do what we do…)

Reading over the various offerings this morning gave me the distinct impression that the wheels were ready to fly off the cart at any moment.

But then I remembered that ‘all money is funny’ so what we’re seeing is all an act!

Yup, the collapse of the Eurozone, the (pending) US default…all FAKE!

But I get ahead of myself…

Today’s first offering is backed up by the major media outlets that Federal agencies are preparing for ‘default’.

"We are developing processes and procedures by which the Treasury communicates to us what we are going to do," Plosser said, adding that the task was manageable. "How the Fed is going to go about clearing government checks. Which ones are going to be good? Which ones are not going to be good?"

Very bullish reversal in the metals intraday, with closes in gold and silver above the psychological numbers of 1600 and 40 respectively.

If they can move higher and stick a close, and hold it through option expiration next week, you can say goodbye to these levels, the dollar, and quite a bit more.

Yes good citizen, the criminals will decide who gets paid and who gets stuck…and the rest of us will live with the consequences… but wait, it gets worse!

Even though many on Wall Street want YOU to believe that a default remains unlikely, the financial markets are starting to become agitated. Volatility in stocks has soared, and some investors say stock prices are falling because a United States default could severely raise companies’ costs of doing business.

In the Treasury market, investors are starting to sell, fearing that the government will not make good on some interest payments that will be due next month. And complex financial instruments that will pay out if the United States defaults have become twice as expensive to buy as they were at the start of the year.

Analysts say the signs of panic are small for now.

“The metaphor is a pile of sand,” said Mark Zandi, the chief economist at Moody’s Analytics. “You keep putting one piece of sand on the pile, nothing happens, and then, all of the sudden it just caves.”

How ironic is it that the ‘sand’ Mr. Zandi refers to in his metaphor is easily replaced with ‘lies’…and it doesn’t alter the end result!

The real, er, ‘puzzler’ here is why our politicians are even plodding down this particular path when the solution lies in a different direction entirely?

Which is to ask What are our corporate sellouts up to?

The White House suggested for the first time that Mr. Obama might be willing to agree to a short-term increase in the debt ceiling by Congress — perhaps for a few days — if such a deal was in sight, stepping up the pressure on the two parties to come to terms.

Mr. Obama met separately at the White House with Republican and Democratic leaders. But neither side reported any substantive progress as they searched for a formula that would include deep spending cuts, cost-saving changes to entitlement programs and an overhaul of the tax code that would increase revenues by closing certain tax breaks and eliminating deductions but also lower some tax rates.

Politically, the main question remained whether House Republicans would be willing to negotiate over any package that could be construed as raising taxes, and throughout the day there were signs of internal debate among party leaders.

Conspicuously absent from this charade is the ‘purpose of government’ as well as a solid understanding of ‘the greater good’.

When does the greed of the owners outweigh the security (never mind the basic prosperity) of the people?

Short answer is IT DOESN’T!

But you (hopefully) don’t need ME to tell you that!

So WHY is our government even pretending to be at an impasse over taxation and government spending?

It’s a WTF moment good citizen and it is high time we demand to know WTF!

Thanks for letting me inside your head,

Gegner
