Zippo!

Greetings good citizen,

It would be presumptuous of me to assume that you are all acutely aware of the advanced state of collapse which our civilization finds itself.

For some bizarre reason, the corporate owned media is just now figuring out that the global financial system not only crashed but burned four years ago…

Perhaps they held their tongue in (futile) hopes that the patient could be resuscitated.

So trillions of dollars later, long after the banks should have been reduced to a tenth their current size, the media tells us the global financial network is ‘at risk’.

If you aren’t screaming WTF you should be.

So it is our lead headline for today tells it like it is:

TOP NEWS
Worry for Italy Quickly Replaces Relief for Spain

By LIZ ALDERMAN and ELISABETTA POVOLEDO

The prime minister of Italy faces a host of problems at home that may ultimately lead investors to take aim at the too-big-to-fail, 2-trillion-euro economy.

Why aren’t these (useless) bankers being told to get stuffed? Is political corruption that rampant that the pols will do anything to cover their ill-gotten gains?

I mean baby, there’s corrupt and then there’s this shit (which takes corrupt to a whole new dimension!)

Beware good citizen, the ‘bad’ in the system is so outrageous that it will, suddenly, call into question the very value of money itself. (Which we have been totally misled into believing is something it CAN’T be.)

As the ‘tide’ continues to rise, we are already seeing people working for paychecks that don’t cover their expenses…

BIZARRELY, this is being ‘covered’ with governmental assistance!

When that ‘assistance’ plays out…there is gonna be one bitchin’ fuckaree! (or fuckaroo, depending on your preference.)

Actually, by inference, a ‘fuckaroo is a ‘mistake/error’, a fuckaree is the level of distress the fuckaroo creates.

Thus bankrupting global civilization is a supreme fuckaroo…so it stands to reason that the resultant fuckaree will be of equally stupendous proportions.

[Admit it, you read me for my decidedly twisted sense of humor…]

And in yet another stunning demonstration of ‘tone-deafness’:
Slight Gains on Wall Street
By REUTERS 22 minutes ago

Stocks gained early on Wall Street after a late sell-off Monday, as investors continued to digest a bailout plan for Spanish banks.

Man, oh man , that has got to redefine the term ‘heartburn’, it’s been four freaking years and investors are still trying to ‘digest’ the idea that the world as they have come to know it is GONE?

Either that or ‘stupid’ has been/is being ‘redefined’!

But I belabor the obvious when I point out that the only thing the stock market tells a bankrupt civilization is how much they are getting ripped – off by the criminals who rule them.

Or we could use this measure:
Family Net Worth Drops to Level of Early ’90s, Fed Says
By BINYAMIN APPELBAUM

The recent downturn left the median American family in 2010 with no more wealth than in the early 1990s, erasing almost two decades of accumulated prosperity, the Federal Reserve said.

Seriously good citizen, how the hell do you tell?

There is so much ‘financial uncertainty’ out there that the only thing you can be sure of is YOU are regularly being played for a sucker!

Freaky how this all circles back to the very beginning of money itself and the ‘inability’ of the parties involved to agree on a value.

That’s why everybody has their own dollar and everybody has their own list of what that dollar will buy (today…until it doesn’t.)

Interesting to note that the ‘globalization’ (read: consolidation/monopolization) of manufacturing processes has made the value of non-producer country money a question mark.

The western world is ‘broke’ (except for a handful of, er, ‘privileged’ people) so what is the monetary value of a nation that manufactures pocket lint (wholesale?)

You guessed it…zippo!

And when that little factoid becomes public knowledge, watch out for the fuckaree!

You’ve been busting your balls all of your life for nada!

Anything worthwhile you’ve done has been taken away from you for a pocket full of empty promises that we call ‘money’.

Which SHOULD wake you up to the FACT that there is more to life than MONEY!

How screwed up is it that the only people who know this are the same people who insure that the rest of us spend our days in grinding poverty?

Time to remake the world…because the old one is about to fall apart.

Thanks for letting me inside your head,

Half & Half

Greetings good citizen,

In a ‘surprising’ turnabout, after markets rallied strongly across Asia and the Euro-zone, they started ‘cliff diving’ around mid morning on the NYSE.

Which is to say, we got a curious ‘half & half’ outcome.

Market Rally Fades Over Spanish Bank Rescue
By DAVID JOLLY 8:45 AM ET

Bond yields spiked and stocks retreated from their highs as investors weighed the challenges ahead despite Spain securing 100 billion euros in aid over the weekend.

Yesterday I predicted a strong (but irrational) rally (which we initially got) followed by a sudden return to reality.

I did not predict that the turn around would come in a single day but I should have.

Thus the ‘surprise’.

It is news to no one that the Euro-zone is NOT saved, so the celebration in ‘Mudville’ was short-lived.
In Europe, Banks Borrowing to Stay Ahead of the Tide
By LANDON THOMAS Jr.

The intervention in Spain will do little to address a weakness common to Europe’s financial institutions: an addiction to outside loans that provide day-to-day financing.?
Now banks (whose former customers aren’t paying their old loans) are ‘addicted’ to short-term loans to cover day to day operating expenses?

What can be done about the failing global financial situation?

Is it time to close (for giggles) half of the existing banks, just to plug the ‘leaks’?

Actually this won’t plug ANY of the leaks, closing half of the existing banks would merely reduce the leaks to a less mind numbing number.

Well, Steven Keen, a well-known Aussie economist is calling for a ‘jubilee’ and I, for one, agree with him.

We part company on what should happen AFTER everyone has all of their debts ‘forgiven’.

You see, (and maybe he’d agree with me, I can’t read his mind) I would, upon ‘forgiving’ all debt, go the extra step of making indebtedness a crime, thereby abolishing ALL future debt. (or we'll be right back where we started quicker than you can say 'usury'.)

Understand the bullshit we call capitalism is a CHOICE, a ‘self-inflicted wound’ that NEVER HEALS!

Now that we have the ‘opportunity’ to alter course, the other ‘choices’ should be laid out for you to pick from.

This ‘smoke filled room’ bullshit has got to go. Allowing others to choose for us without ever consulting us has driven us to the edge of extinction.

If not now, when? If not us, who?

Who knew a scant forty years after St. Ronnie read those words off a tele-prompter we’d be faced with that exact same choice again.

Sadly it is a choice that did NOT get ‘resolved’ 80 years ago.

We (stupidly) gave the capitalists a ‘second chance.’

Take a good look around you good citizen and marvel at what they did with that, er, ‘opportunity’.

Just to explain the ‘stakes’ good citizen, if we don’t stop the >One Percent this time (and bring them ALL to justice) we’re talking the extinction of our species.

Which is a tough position to take considering most of you have already decided ‘humans’ are beyond saving.

But you can’t underestimate the power of ‘perception management’ and our absolutely astonishing capacity for ‘cognitive dissonance’.

Just as the corporate owned media has convinced you that more than 50% of the voting age population votes conservative, it is their ‘control’ over the contents of the ballot box that let’s them get away with this ‘deception’.

The corporate owned media can NOT be trusted…but this is also ‘news to no-one.’

Not that people have had a lot of ‘non-conservative’ choices at the ballot box for the past three decades.

The ‘Reagan revolution’ was more than a ‘war of ideologies’, it was a coup by the very people our government was founded to PROTECT us from!

Ironic to hear (from the corporate owned media no less) how ‘unreliable’ government has become…due to the conservative domination of our government operations.

Worse, good citizen, these whackos have the launch codes!

What should frighten most of you is the idea that our ‘nuclear-armed’ peers have allowed the, er, ‘hostile takeover’ of the world’s largest nuclear arsenal without a peep.

What a change since the phony baloney cold war, the Soviets are now a capitalist nation and the Chinese are now our, er, ‘partners’.

Talk about ‘revolution’!

And here we sit, right where we were a hundred years ago with a seriously broken global commerce system…and the criminals who broke it are holding the keys to our nuclear arsenals…

Can you say ‘fucked’, good citizen?

Thanks for letting me inside your head,

Going Down?

Greetings good citizen,

Happy SUNDAY to you all, which makes today’s lead story that much more interesting.
Spain to Accept Rescue From Europe for Its Ailing Banks
By RAPHAEL MINDER, NICHOLAS KULISH and PAUL GEITNER 32 minutes ago

European finance ministers promised up to $125 billion in aid, which they hope will quell rising financial turmoil ahead of elections in Greece next week that could roil world markets.

We can only speculate as to the effects this would have had on the world’s markets if it had occurred on a ‘normal business day’.

Intuitively speaking, you’d have expected a ‘sell-off’ like you’ve never seen before, because the whole ‘euro’ situation just got that much worse…but that’s not how the (idiot) traders see things. They’d take the ‘they’re doing something about it’ side of the coin and drive markets up to dizzying heights (for absolutely NO rational reason, simply sticking your finger in the dike DOES NOT ‘fix’ the dam.)

Spain is in the exact same leaky canoe as Greece. It doesn’t have the infrastructure base needed to support the debt load that is being forced on them. So loaning Spain money to pay for bankers losses only make the hole in the euro-zone that much deeper.

The thing that strikes you in the eye is just how much ‘self-congratulations’ are going on behind the idea of announcing this as a ‘Done Deal’ on a Sunday?

You can rest assured that SOMEBODY thinks they are being too clever by half!

Yet you know the markets will ‘react’ to this news tomorrow.

The ‘quiz’ awaiting us is which side of the fence are YOU on?

Do you side with me and bet markets will rise (because action, good, bad or indifferent ALWAYS makes the markets rise)

Or will you go with the rational approach and opine markets will ‘sell-off’ because no matter how you slice it, this is ‘Bad News’?

Somehow the markets are able to blatantly ignore serious negative developments, like this one here:
Affirming Slowdown, China Reports Second Month of Scant Economic Growth
By KEITH BRADSHER

Growth in industrial production, retail sales and investment in fixed assets like factories and office buildings was little changed from April.

Time for another ‘quiz’…(show of hands now) who is surprised to see ‘stagnation’ in the Chinese economy?

Hey, yeah, you in the back, not a regular reader, eh? NONE of my readers have their hands up!

When you pauperize your customer base it only stands to reason that sales, er, ‘taper off’.

If the corporate owned media has been ‘semi-truthful’ about one aspect of the ‘Greater Depression’ it has been their acknowledgement of ‘slack demand’.

Ironically, this last sentiment segues nicely into the last tidbit for your consideration today

BUT I’m not done ‘speculating’ about what a long term slow down in China means for the rest of the world.

How do you ‘fix’ slack demand, good citizen?

You know; you give out raises!

So why are our politicians so fucking clueless?

Oops, my bad! I keep ‘forgetting’ that our politicians work for their campaign contributors (a.k.a. the people who would have to fork over the raises…)

This poses the question of why we don’t have politicians hanging from every lamp-post but the answer to that one is because they are the nominal boss’s of ‘the men with guns’.

See what a fine job the ‘founders’ did of thwarting change?

Although they do have my sympathy, the founders were ‘terrified’ of the prospects of the church ‘hijacking’ the newly founded government.

In a not too humorous aside, these forces are still waiting in the wings almost 250 years later!

But this still doesn’t answer the question of how stagnation in the world’s workshop is going to affect the global economy?

So we whip out our Econ-101 books and have a gander at ‘business basics’.

And it says, right there in black and white: All businesses are totally dependent on ‘cash-flow’.

We have a special name for enterprises that don’t attract sufficient cash flow; we call then ‘bankrupt’.

Which is to point out, good citizen, that as things continue to ‘slow down’ the number of ‘viable enterprises’ will continue to shrink...as the population continues to expand.

Now I’ll pull the trigger on our final news item, because it is ‘indicative’ of our worsening plight:
Forced to Early Social Security, Unemployed Pay a Steep Price
By MOTOKO RICH

The recession and its aftermath have forced many older people who are out of work to draw Social Security earlier than they had planned.

Um, that is only half of the story. There is a regular ‘rush’ going on to collect SSI ‘disability pensions’.

Employers are, er, ‘fussy’ about who they hire. If you have a bald head or a slight limp (for whatever the reason) chances are good your application will be ‘circularly filed’ before your backside waddles out of sight.

And you can’t blame them, employers prefer kids (especially if the work is ‘physical’.)

If you look like you’re over FORTY, you’d better have an amazing resume or you’re NOT going to get hired.

Mostly because there isn’t enough work out there to keep the people already working there busy.

This is largely due to our commerce system the same commerce system that allows the criminals among us to ‘buy’ the legal outcomes that suit them.

An unjust society can not stand.

It is high time we restore ‘justice for all!’

Thanks for letting me inside your head,

Underwater...

Greetings good citizen,

Sunk into the bedrock of ‘modern’ capitalism is the ‘dream’ of homeownership.

How disturbing this has become is incalculable considering our entire economy eventually became the Real Estate market as the workers of the US were cut off from other avenues of economic opportunity.

So what does this ‘mean’, good citizen?

You may have noticed that once the ‘I live off the equity in my house’ phenomenon reached its inevitable conclusion, we found ourselves where we remain today.

In a world filled with over-priced houses and no jobs to pay for them with.

We all know what the solution to this debacle is…but that’s not what our blind and deaf politicians are serving up:
The housing secretary, Shaun Donovan, has supported debt reduction for certain homeowners who owe more than their homes are worth and helped negotiate the $25 billion national settlement with the nation’s largest banks over foreclosure abuses, which includes homeowner debt relief. Administration-insured loans are technically eligible for debt reduction, but not many are expected to be reduced because banks are more likely to address loans not insured by the agency.

Selling the loans could create a backdoor route to debt reduction. Investors who buy them would have greater leeway to reduce principal or offer rent-to-own plans and other means of making the mortgage affordable, Mr. Donovan said at the Clinton Global Initiative in Chicago.

Homeowners whose loans are sold “might get a call [note the operative word…] to say, ‘Hey, we’re willing to cut your payment dramatically, or cut the balance on your loan dramatically,’ ” he said. “There are going to be a set of options that might arrive on that doorstep as the best news that homeowner has ever heard.”

Seriously Shaun?

You don’t think he’d be FAR happier to hear that he has the ‘use’ of his current property ‘free’ for as long as he needed it and he was no longer carrying the burden of ‘unloading’ the property when he wanted to be elsewhere?

You think some pin-head calling and telling him, “Hey, IF you can pay all of your back payments by next month, I’ll knock $10 a month off of what you owe.”

(Because we all KNOW that is how it’s going to go down.)

Now $10 a month may not seem particularly ‘dramatic’ to you but to Chiseler, it’s a ‘big gesture’ worth a lot of dough! Hell, it’s over $400 bucks a year, and we’re talking 20 plus years here! That’s a few grand!

[Mind you this is a tiny fraction of what Chiseler is making on the deal but this is capitalism we’re talking here and not some nickel and dime charity!]

And this is where ‘the problem’ comes in. Under capitalism, Chiseler is ‘entitled’ to ‘hold out' for the price HE thinks is fair.

Doesn’t matter if everyone else thinks he’s crazy, this is a society built on ‘crazy’, actually predicated on ‘the greater fool’.

So what do you suppose happens when the greater fool turns out to be Chiseler?

Can you say ‘Tea Party’? (Which is just another name for a ‘festival of idiots’.)

Let’s look at the ‘basics’.

The Real Estate market was decimated by?

What do you think ‘did in’ the Real Estate market? (Besides massive stupidity!)

You don’t suppose the global real estate markets tanked due to ‘the global race to the bottom’, do you?

Because THAT’S where we are sitting today! Too many (seriously overvalued) houses and not nearly enough high earners to buy them! Not without going Japanese and taking out ‘multi-generational’ mortgages on a given property.

Which, ironically, don’t work because the idea of adding ‘time’ to a mortgage (wrongly) ‘assumes’ that income will at least keep up with inflation.

But that’s not how the global race to the bottom works!

Which is to ask WTF is wrong with our dim-witted politicians?

They like to play SSI as the political ‘third rail’ but their ‘willful ignorance’ has created a multitude of ‘deadlier’ topics…

If YOU were a politician, how would YOU weasel your way out of the mortgage ‘trap’?

If you declare a jubilee, Wall Street would have you dead before the sun set, if you try to sell the ignorant public on multi-generational loans, they will have you dancing the funky chicken twelve inches off the ground that night by torchlight.

WITHOUT the ‘Real Estate’ market, our banking system will collapse.

Not a question, just a statement of fact.

The real question we need to ask ourselves is if we need to have a real estate market in order for society to function?

Now your worthless Libertarian (who wouldn’t pee in your mouth if your teeth were on fire!) will blow a gasket if you propose such an idea, his whole life is predicated on making YOU pay HIM rent!

If housing were ‘free’ he’d have to get a ‘real’ job…and it’s not like there is a lack of things that need doing, that’s the hell of it good citizen.

Banking ‘should be’ an internal function of the organization that cuts your paycheck and a place to live ‘should be’ a ‘gimme’.

That’s how it works under A Simple Plan.

Thanks for letting me inside your head,

Leveled

Greetings good citizen,

Happy Friday (to those of you who still have a weekend to look forward to.) You poor slobs in retail know it’s only a matter of time until your ‘holidays’ are restricted to the time off you’re granted for meals during the coming ‘actual day’ sales events.

As other observers have noted, when ‘nothing’s sacred, anything goes!’

If you refuse to give up your family time during the holidays, they will ‘find’ (because they’re making them as we ponder this) somebody who WILL.

Because the poor bastard will, quite literally, be ‘hungrier’ than you are.

Does ‘desperation’ make ‘good’ employees?

Short answer is No, the extension is also true, the desperate also make lousy citizens (because they already have nothing left to lose!)

‘Compliance’ holds no benefit for them.

Sounds like common sense but take a good look at where we are today good citizens before you start discounting the morons among us.

Wall Street Starts Lower
By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

Stocks fell early on Wall Street before the weekend release of what may be weaker-than-expected trade and industrial data from China.

But once again markets around the world are in ‘vertical take off’ mode corresponding with the opening of the NYSE…and no one finds that, er, ‘remarkable’. (in a ‘fraudulent’ sort of way…)

As Grain Piles Up, India’s Poor Still Go Hungry
By VIKAS BAJAJ

Despite surplus grain stockpiles, malnourishment is widespread in India, where politicians are facing pressure to deal with corruption and waste in distribution programs.

Video: A Problem of Distribution
India Ink: What Did You Eat?

Wait a minute Slim, isn’t this the SECOND crisis to slam the world’s second largest population center in as many months?

Remember (it may have been April) but they announced they didn’t have enough coal to keep their generators running?

Can YOU say ‘mismanagement’?

No power AND no food…

I don’t know about you good citizen but it looks like ‘the stage’ is being ‘set’ if you know what I mean.

They have a surplus of grain but hundreds of millions of starving people…

Geez, you don’t suppose it’s true do you? that the only one this capitalism bullshit works for is the capitalist? Hell, India is a microsm of the global labor market, let’s assume that their ‘working aged population’ is roughly in the half a billion region.

Are there a half a billion jobs in the entire world?

The answer is yeah, just barely. So what about the other six and a half billion people all trying to ‘make it’ under capitalism?

Perhaps it would help to look at this from the ‘other end’, the thousand or so people who own 99 percent of everything.

Is this a case of ‘Lucky them’ or ‘Stupid us?’

What do YOU think?

I’m thinking ‘I’m with Stupid!’

But only from the aspect that we ‘allow’ this sort of nonsense to continue…because, in reality, we aren’t given a ‘choice’ in the matter.

And yeah, there IS a degree of ‘maybe someday’ involved as well.

Most of us ‘wish’ it will be us someday although I’d like to think the majority of us are ‘practical enough’ to know it’s never gonna happen.

How ironic is it that knowing you have a snowballs chance in hell of ever becoming ‘more than you can spend’ wealthy and this prospect is STILL on an equal footing with your chances of ‘leveling the playing field’…something you actually have a much greater possibility of achieving.

It also boggles the imagination to consider how much better off we’d all be IF we adjusted the ‘stupid rich’ right out of the equation.

(Having more money than you can ‘rationally spend’ IS ‘stupid beyond belief.’)

Yet that is the ‘goal’ to which we all aspire.

The principal difference being putting yourself first (as the selfish Conservatives do) or putting ‘society’ (the world you are but a part of) first, something the now extinct ‘liberals’ strove for.

Which is to opine that the ‘liberal spirit’ lives, it just isn’t represented in our current ‘political landscape’.

How sad it must be to be a communist in today’s predatory capitalist world…

Thanks for letting me inside your head,

Ballot Box

Greetings good citizen,

Markets opened ‘up’ but were heading back down as of mid-morning in fact it had the precise appearance of a ‘nosedive’…but you never know, those traders may pull out of it in time to save yesterdays record 293 point gain.

Again, for absolutely no apparent reason.

The global economy is still in operative and so is the global political system, as evidenced here

Before pressing on I would like to point out that the, er, ‘psychologist’ being quoted is a Brit and he provides us an example of what WE look like from across the pond.

Rest assured I will chime in with my ‘opinion’ as to why working people vote Republican.
Here's a more painful but ultimately constructive diagnosis, from the point of view of moral psychology: politics at the national level is more like religion than it is like shopping. It's more about a moral vision that unifies a nation and calls it to greatness than it is about self-interest or specific policies. In most countries, the right tends to see that more clearly than the left. In America the Republicans did the hard work of drafting their moral vision in the 1970s, and Ronald Reagan was their eloquent spokesman. Patriotism, social order, strong families, personal responsibility (not government safety nets) and free enterprise. Those are values, not government programs.

The Democrats, in contrast, have tried to win voters' hearts by promising to protect or expand programmes for elderly people, young people, students, poor people and the middle class. Vote for us and we'll use government to take care of everyone! But most Americans don't want to live in a nation based primarily on caring. That's what families are for.

One reason the left has such difficulty forging a lasting connection with voters is that the right has a built-in advantage – conservatives have a broader moral palate than the liberals (as we call leftists in the US). Think about it this way: our tongues have taste buds that are responsive to five classes of chemicals, which we perceive as sweet, sour, salty, bitter, and savoury. Sweetness is generally the most appealing of the five tastes, but when it comes to a serious meal, most people want more than that.

Right out of the box I’d opine that this is about as ‘Ivy Tower’ as you can get!

I would further ‘opine’ that comparing British conservatives to our own ‘neo-cons’ is like comparing apples to elephants!

The Brits actually HAVE a monarchy, here the pretentious assholes merely pretend to be ‘gods elect’.

Why do our ‘working people’ vote for obviously odious conservo-nazis?

The answer is as simple as the spineless Jellyfish the Libertarians run as democrats!

The obnoxious Republicans may be repugnant but at least they stick together!

The spineless democrats stood and watched while the conservo-nazis stripped the working class of union protection and off-shored 99% of our productive capacity.

THAT’S WHY THERE ARE SO MANY INDEPENDENTS!

You don’t need ‘psycho-babble’ to figure this one out.

Did I mention I suspect the wing-dings at AlterNet (who are supposedly ‘progressive’ are in fact Libertarians?)

That is why we see so many articles like this one.

The Brits would call it ‘rubbish’ (and we should too!)

Which brings us to the union busting conservo-nazi’s victory in Wisconsin yesterday.

It seems the mindless masses in Cheeseland think the only time a politician should be ‘rebuked’ is when he is guilty of mal-administration.

So it appears the ‘union busting’ falls right into the governor’s bailiwick as far as the people of Wisconsin are concerned.

Again, we only have the ‘pretend democratic’ view on this upset. My gut tells me the corporate owned media reported the outcome they desired and flipped the public the middle finger!

But we have no way to prove that…and there will be no such thing as an independent probe to examine the ballots, not going to happen.

Pseudo-democracy is already on mighty shaky ground as it is.

We don’t need ‘proof positive’ that the media has been ‘fixing’ elections for the past hundred years to surface just months before the next presidential bid.

Yeah, it is little ‘demonstrations’ like yesterday that make the working voter throw in their lot with those who would exploit them.

Because ‘choice’ has become an illusion, although I must admit, the ‘illusion’ is wearing thinner all of the time.

Look at the choices being presented to us this November…a ‘burn and churn capitalist’ and a make believe Democrat who doesn’t deserve a second term.

Yes, we need look no further than the current occupant of the White House to learn why ‘working people’ vote against their own interests…because voting their interests produced nothing…and that’s the hell of it good citizen.

We come full circle to the ‘what can we do about this’ problem?

They have already shown us the outcome of the November elections and sadly that outcome is ‘more of the same regardless of who they crown.

And most of us have had more of this than we can stand.

Will we make it to November?

We’ll see.

Thanks for letting me inside your head,

Intellectuals?

Greetings good citizen,

Markets around the world are rallying today, must be those ‘bargains’ because there isn’t a rational reason. Hell, despite their best efforts, the Euro-zone is still on course to crash and burn.

(It’s a damn good thing all money is funny or it would have happened already!) But (for reasons of their own) they’re waiting.

Which is to opine that the underlying plan, as it stands, appears to be to ultimately ‘pull the plug’…probably when they’re ready to ‘crackdown’.

Which is to say I still haven’t backed away from the idea of a ‘coup’ (this time in the open) where the ‘conservo-loonies’ will take charge from the currently paralyzed elected government.

How ironic is it good citizen that some people will welcome this, er, shift from participatory government and will hail the new ‘accountable’ take charge government.

Even if their first act is to ‘pardon/hold harmless’ the parties responsible for destroying the global economy.

Or, under the ‘never waste a perfectly good crisis’ meme, they start prosecuting the long-term unemployed for ‘theft’.

That should make ‘em real popular!

Not that they give a crap, heck, you know they’re doing this for their own good.

Er, YOUR own good!

Not that any of this shit is going to change:

Europe Is Ready With Aid for Spanish Banks, French Finance Minister Asserts

Tighter Banking Bond Is Proposed in Europe

See, hellacious news and the markets are climbing outrageously, WTF!

Isn’t it nice that they feel compelled to point out that they’re ‘ready’ to bail Spain out?

Again, damn good thing all money is funny or that would NOT be happening!

The part you should be wondering about is where are these fuckers guns and masks?

This whole ‘broken bank’ charade has ‘stick ‘em up’ written all over it!

The question without answer is how much money can they print before it all turns to confetti?

I’d opine there is already ‘too much’ after four years of global life support for a workforce that produces nothing!

Stocks are going up for a reason…just not a good one.

Companies are profitable, but again this is totally due to ‘funny money’.

And those of you who don’t’ think so don’t understand money!

(Ironic how circular logic actually applies here!)

How people can deny that all money starts and ends with a ‘Shazam’ boggles the mind!

It all starts with a piece of paper, damn it!

But we are up against ‘stupid is as stupid does’ once again.
And this is a case of ‘what stupid believes.’

I realize I did not close the loop in yesterday’s post were we asked ‘where are our intellectuals’?

The right certainly enjoys bashing them at every opportunity but they never identify them, which is beyond weird.

Once again we are left to ‘assume’ that they are referring to those who don’t agree with their ‘lofty ideals’ and their ‘chaste world-view’ (how fucking sad is it that their motto is ‘Kill ‘em all and let God sort ‘em out!’)

So, who are this generation’s ‘intellectuals’?

Looks like they’re MIA from here.

Has the media kept them from the spotlight while right wing blowhards hogged the stage?

Is El Rushbo supposed to be what passes for a modern day Aristotle?

Or has ‘the church of the poisoned (conservative) mind’ left us bereft of intellectual heroes due to their deep and abiding hatred of thinking altogether?

Which leads us to some final words of advice…

Don’t let the fuckers catch you thinking, they’ll probably kill you for it!

Thanks for letting me inside your head,
